Great news! This has to be 1 of the highest rated recruits we've had.
24/7 has him has a 3 star. Is it common for us to get 3 star recruits?

Offers from Arizona St, Michigan, Michigan St, & Marquette among others.

No it has not been common for WMU to land 3 star basketball players.
If Hannah had accepted scholarship offer from one of the P5 programs he probably would still be a 4 star recruit.

Josiah Freeman was also a 3 star recruit
Lamar Norman & Markeese Hastings were both 3 star at Godwin Heights high school.

So you’re saying we have one of our most talented teams to date…. About to add another highly rated player for next year? Because that gives me hope for the direction of this team!

I have been a season ticket holder for over 20 years and this is one of the most talented rosters that I can remember and next year they add one of the top rated recruits in program history.
Announced yesterday
JaVaughn Hannah has been nominated for McDonalds All-American team

He's a Whopper!
Can anyone put this signing into perspective compared to our signing of David Kool?
Hannah was a Top 100 player & 4 Star recruit with several P5 offers.
IMO if he had signed with a P5 probably still would be 4Star.
When JaVaughn committed to WMU I believe he was rated about 120 in US

A couple articles called him the highest rated Basketball recruit for WMU ever.

Hannah staying? Hope so!!!
Not holding my breath. He felt comfortable in the WMU environment that's now gone.
Probably depends on who or if any of existing staff is kept on staff.

WMU WAS very close to other high quality recruits to fill out recruiting class.
Yeah... this is why I would have gone one more year with Clayton. They were recruiting really well. Players loved the staff. Bartholomae just owed the search firm a favor so now we have to start over.

They're all on one year contracts that's expire in April. No idea who may or may not stay. One more year for Coach Bates would have made the most sense. Let wins = extension just like Lester.
