With the announcement of JMU withdrawing as a member of the CAA, what does that mean for schedules going forward?

Will their basketball/baseball/other sports games be cancelled?
Here's the official notice from the CAA, and it answers a lot of questions in terms of whether or not JMU can still host championships. Their exit from the CAA is official on 6/30/2022 so the championship bans will only be for one season or less for all sports.

Quote:JMU will no longer serve as the host for CAA championships in men’s soccer, women’s basketball, women’s lacrosse and softball. The conference office will work with the membership to determine new sites for those championships, and expects to make an announcement relative to this matter in the near future.

So WBB WL and Softball championships will be looking for new homes.

And I guess to answer your question, the rest of the sports season for JMU will not change. They just can't compete for NCAA automatic bids from the CAA.
