I would love to see them fly a drone over McMicken Hall, then the GameDay stage, then over TUC and right into Nippert.

I imagine most people in the country have no idea how cool campus is, especially with Nippert right in the middle.

I think Sean Kilpatrick would do well as well as representing UC in the manner we would expect.

Such a cool part of campus and facing down the hill towards TUC and the stadium.
For those do don’t watch Game day - what time does the crew go on air? Do they dedicate One certain segment to it that I should record. Or they cut in and out to them throughout? And I’m also thinking about going down. I don’t have to be near the table and be on TV. But just to soak in the historic atmosphere if I’m able to. Should I be in the lawn at a certain time?

My son told me about Gameday coming to Louisville years ago while he was in school there. In order to get anywhere close to the stage, you had to get in line by 4 or 5 in the morning. Thanks, but no thanks.

My wife and I are both UC alumni, and this weekend is also our wedding anniversary.

We had already gotten tickets to the game and planned on staying in Cincy Friday and Saturday nights.

Since the Gameday announcement I have been working hard on convincing her that she would enjoy going to campus early in the morning for Gameday when the game doesn't start til 1530hrs

I was at a UC event years ago where Collinsworth served as emcee. He (or his script) never referred to "our" University but to your University or the University. It kind of turned me off and I've seen little evidence through the years that he is Proudly Cincinnati. I understand people having first loyalty to their undergraduate school (Florida in his case) but for someone who has had a terrific career and chose to remain in Greater Cincinnati it does surprise me that he's not more supportive.

That’s a good point. Can anyone else comment on this? Has anyone else have experience with us. He was great with Huggins on the coaches show. Until they kept talking about their one on one match ups and ruining the show lol. But that’s true he was more interviewing him but not really related to him also being a graduate.

I did see him on campus one time. When he was still in law school. I know he never really practiced law at least that’s what I heard. Did he completely graduate law school or maybe he still had a quarter left and that’s why he never said that?

Yes he earned his JD and intended to practice law. While in law school he was doing broadcasting on the side for extra money, but he got picked to go national so he never practiced. His wife also got her JD from UC (UK undergrad).

Yeah, Gameday is a zoo. I’ll still get there early to tailgate and watch the nonsense, but that’s it.

How cool would it be to have The Big O as the guest picker? Show his statue and how Cincinnati was one of the leaders with opportunities for black players. Don't know if he would and/or if he's up to it at his age, but I couldn't think of a better representative for UC.

I am surprised I haven’t seen Lance Stephenson brought up more — I haven’t noticed anyone else bring him up other than you. I am personally not a big fan due to some of his off the court issues in his younger days, but he would actually make a ton of sense. He is still pretty well known with the younger crowd, especially considering the blowing in LeBron’s ear incident that is still a huge meme.

He was only on campus for maybe 6 months? He withdrew from classes on April 7th & only completed one semester of classes.

Even if he does consider himself a Bearcat: he was the 3rd best player on an NIT team. Not exactly a superstar.

I consider him a bearcat. They list us as his university. I loved how he played in the NBA. So tough! No back down at all.

Someone needs to check with Terry Nelson or Alex Meachem (Twitter Or other means) if born ready or Collinsworth consider themselves Bearcats. But I do think I remember born ready coming down from Indianapolis to Clifton while Mick was here.

I run into Terry Nelson when he refs sometimes. If I see him this winter I’m gonna ask him.
