Love seeing future members Sam Houston, NDSU, SDSU, and MOST in the Top 25.

North Dakota State and South Dakota State would come in and one of them would win the Championship right away, with 63 scholarships.

Based on what I've been seeing and hearing on various FCS Forums the Dakota State schools would rather be in the MWC.

So would we.
But the MWC would prefer Texas programs. The dakotas best option in the foreseeable future to join an fbs conference is with CUSA now.

Honestly I could see it as an option still in the future. The big reason the Mountain West did not expand was because their TV providers weren't going to give the conference more money for adding teams. If and when the current contract is up I could see them potentially going after you guys and Texas state to try and keep Air Force and Colorado state from leaving the conference. Air Force in particular wants more exposure in Texas.

Not their 2021 teams in my opinion. Maybe SDSU. They've lost a couple games but did beat Colorado State early. This NDSU team is not up to their standards in Fargo. They don't have an NFL QB and they are slow in the secondary and struggle in coverage. MSU should have won there last weekend but made some critical mistakes. UTEP and UTSA look to be a notch above. I haven't watched the eastern side much but I'd guess Charlotte or FAU would be better too.

"should" have won??? NDSU didn't play well and still won. That is what makes good teams great. They know how to when when things are not going their way.

Its true that this is not one of NDSU's best teams but they are still undefeated and a top ranked team. They would certainly be top 3 in the current C-USA today (with less scholarships)

NDSU would compete well in CUSA this year. Personally I think you’re a little too high on their abilities this year. Top half for sure but the middle to top of CUSA is pretty good this year.

All 4 of the fcs teams mentioned would compete well this year. Add them and give them the additional scholarship players and in few years I believe conference USA would be on par with the sunbelt and certainly the MAC. On the field I mean. We (Shsu) would need a lot of help in the facility dept.

NDSU would beat Charlotte, soundly. FAU is interesting. Based on what I've seen they play tight games in the 1st half then after halftime they quite literally come out like a completely different team and a curb stomping ensues.

They were close (1 score) against Georgia Southern at halftime and then took off and won 38-6. Then they were in a close game with UNCC at halftime and ended up winning 38-9 or something.

Weird year for them.

C-USA may reach the AAC with that line up. They would certainly have more fans attending games than the AAC outside of ECU.

Only problem is people are forgetting about FIU. You can't have a football conference stretch from Miami to Missoula, no matter how well intentioned it is.

We've had problems with slow starts. It must be due to coaching. But I do not understand why.

Well, FIU is going to have to butch up. They do not have any other choice.
