The EMU's unloaded on BGSU, was hoping for a BGSU win. Hopefully Miami takes care of Balz Tate, and the Turds and WMU have a close one going in the 3rd.

Even losing a couple we could still back into the West Championship, like 2018.
Turds up 19 with the ball and 13 minutes left.
This is breaking perfectly for us. MiamiO beat Ball State 24-17 and WMU down 34-15 to Toledo.

If the Toledo score holds, we are 4-0 and the other five teams in the West will all be 2-2.
NIU first in MAC West at 4 and 0
Five way tie for second at 2 and 2 for everyone else

Rocket Mortgage MAC Football Championship Game (Ford Field – Detroit, Mich.) - 12 EST (Noon) ESPN
My guess is with a 2 game lead in West means beat WMU and Ball St and they win West. However, Kent St game is first so there will be other options to discuss next week.

Or they could win 3 of 4 and clinch as well.
Wonder what the oddsmakers had NIU to win the MAC West at the start of the season. They had to be +1000 at least.
Just beat Kent State next... great win today! THE HARD WAY BABY
There's some wounded Cards fans with such animosity towards us.

I got it at +4000.

That’s not even that bad. You should read some of their past threads/comments.

I noticed that about them a few years ago, I had no idea. We (and by “we” I mean NIU) are their Toledo. It’s a similar vibe to how NIU fans feel (felt?) about Toledo back before NIU finally cleared the hump. And I suppose NIU fans are similar to the Toledo fans in this scenario in that many of us are oblivious to their contempt and/or couldn’t give the slightest shît about it, and even find amusement in it.

“We” are the “bad guy” to them.

Hmmm.

ROLL DAWGS!
We’re really up 2 games with Bye week!!!
Not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but looking at what needs to be done to win the west: NIU just needs to beat ball state and EITHER Kent or Buffalo. The Ball state game is key because it holds the tie breaker deciding factor should we lose to WMU.

So that’s it folks. Beat Ball state and 1 other opponent and the west is ours.

Edit: After double checking Ball state is in better position than Toledo or wmu right now. So our game with them is the division decider most likely. At least as of now.

If we lost 2 of the next 4, including to WMU, and WMU wins out, wouldn't WMU win. We'd have two losses and they'd have two losses, plus the tie breaker over us. It might get tricky if Toledo also wins out, leaving 3 teams at 2 conference losses and everyone having tiebreakers over one another.

Best case scenario, beat Kent Stare and BSU and now the MAC West comes down to a game against Buffalo. Nice to control our own destiny with a little wiggle room. Just gotta win 3 of 4!

Yes…I misspoke. I was thinking of it in terms of a 3 way tie with Toledo. So what you’re saying is right if it’s just a two way tie.
Let's just go 10-2 :)

I'll take 12-2 with MAC Championship and bowl win.

That would be lovely. But in all seriousness this team has exceeded my expectations so far and regardless of how this season plays out it is exciting to think how good this team can be for next few years.

150-1 on Bovada

60-1 on Fanduel 9/4.

The rest of the division is coming to the realization that the window to win the division while the Huskies retooled is closing quickly. And it’s being done by 80+ freshmen.
