Ya! You do realize UNT is just down the road from the AAC's headquarters....

Our prez probably dropped it off and then took Aresco to celebration lunch.

Time to talk to Aresco about a conference HQ relocation.

The AAC just got to Dallas. I doubt they are interested in moving away from the Playoff Committee and BIG12 offices.
So, what are your payouts? The AAC holdovers are saying they keep 7mill per team.

A drop/big haircut to that contract is in order, so what will that leave y'all?

A little over $2 million a year to start, but the payouts will grow to full $7 million payments over the duration of the media deal. It seems fair to me.

For some reason, I definitely do not see ESPN honoring that contract.

What will happen when the deal gets cut by 30%?

An extra $30 Million per year? Wonder what ESPN'S ROI looks like at the conclusion of the contract?

What are you talking about? The AAC doesn't even invite these teams if ESPN doesn't give its approval.

So you think ESPN is so wholesome, they want to keep a billion dollar contract intact, and don't see this as an opportunity to renegotiate?

Then the schools joining the AAC will still get an 180% pay raise in shared media revenue, even if their base amount doesn't ever go up.

Hell knaw. I can't stand the Satan Network! But I'm telling you ESPN had their hands all over the AAC expansion and Aresco doesn't do this without ESPN being fine with the LB8 keeping their 7 mil per team while the newbies get 2 mil to start off.

So what if CUSA brings on a new commissioner, and locks in a comparable media deal?

Not with ESPIN, but someone else?

Look, I get it, I would want Marshall to go too. Just throwing some scenarios out.
