That's my prediction. If it breaks right they both get fired.

Fuente was never going to recover from transfer armageddon.

Seems like everyone is getting fired in the ACC ... to add to the Babers, Fuente speculation ..

Scott Satterfield has a contingent of haters in Louisville.

Manny Diaz ain't too popular in Miami.

Mike Norvell's seat is hot as blazes.

There's a fire Geoff Collins thread here.

Jeez. That's 6 out of 14 gigs in the conference.

There is also a contingent of Pitt fans who want Narduzzi fired if he does not go at least 10-2 in the regular season. Since Jackie Sherrill's last Pitt team in 1981. Pitt has posted a 10 win season exactly once, 2009.

Except for Manny Diaz, all these guys had been successful as HC before. Just goes to show that you never can tell

And no good coaches to be had either except O at LSU
I would think Louisiana's Billy Napier would be at the top of the list at LSU if they aren't able to steal someone from a big time program. I thought he would have been perfect for Tennessee but either they went in a different direction or Napier passed. I can't imagine Napier passes on LSU and if Napier doesn't get it, I'm not sure he would think any available ACC job would be better than UT considering he's from Tennessee.

Appalachian State's Shawn Clark got a master's degree from Louisville. Va. Tech isn't too far away.

The hot coach in C-USA is UTSA's Jeff Traylor. But he's only in his 2nd year there, has no ties to the ACC, and is 53.

Over in the MAC, the team that beat Pittsburgh this year (Western Michigan)'s coach is Tim Lester, Syracuse's former offensive coordinator.

O has more baggage than Sampsonite. As far as Louisville goes, he shouldn't ever be considered ... he makes Bobby P look angelic. Art Briles would almost be a better choice.

Billy Napier has produced very well. His resume with stops at both Clemson and Alabama works very well for him too. I'm kinda shocked he hasn't jumped yet.

I also think Bill Clark at UAB will eventually get a look by a big time program.

As always, there are a bunch of coached who we haven't heard of, that will make names for themselves in the game somewhere.

:coffee3:

Hey Babers from all accounts is popular with the players but we have lost 5-6 kids to the portal. I bet we lose 2-3 more after the season.

Tommy DeVito just went in the portal. He could have stayed and played out the year and still have the same eligibility...1 season.

I can see a desperate P5 grabbing him for QB depth but he might be better to go to a top FCS school looking for a pro passer
South Carolina is not doing particularly well so far. But if Shane Beamer’s team finishes 8-4 or 7-5 including Clemson win, I think a lot of VT fans including myself would want to take Shane back.

Not so sure he'd be interested, but if he is, you know he'll get a good long look.

Louisville is chasing another Syracuse transfer: Taj Harris

I'm sure he's committed to South Carolina since this is his first year. We can probably get him after he gets fired.

Not Babers. He is building a good team using a good quarterback which is only a sophomore. Babers has two more years to show his capability.
