I guess we can just go by Polls for the Top Three:
Cincinnati, SMU and Houston.
But what about the rest of the Conference?

I dunno. After the top 3 I feel like the whole rest of that pile could be lumped anywhere.
being honest... after the top 3, for 4-11 anyone can beat anyone on any given game.

So you're saying I nailed it again.

Ditto, though in my heart, I'm not sure Temple is #6. But I am not sure who I would put above them. Tulane, perhaps, as they didn't get embarrassed Oklahoma the way Temple got embarrassed by Cincy. USF has played pretty well in their losses. We have gotten blown out in ours.
Then again, I'm not convinced Oklahoma is at Cincinnati's level. I think SMU could beat OU this season. Cincinnati will be a tall order though.

This is the heart of it. I don't really know what to do with the teams beyond the UC/SMU/Houston. ECU/UCF have better records so far so I kept them as the highest 2 for now. I'm stubborn in think Tulsa is still decent. I had to have temple above memphis (for now).

UC/SMU/Houston are the dominant AAC teams this season. One of them will at least make the NY6 bowl. Obviously UC looks beyond that to a CFP berth.

Only in my wildest dreams would UC get a CFP invitation and either SMU or UH be assigned the Fiesta Bowl (I think that is the bowl assignment for the "G5" rep).

The problems with that scenario are twofold:
1) The P5 Cartel will NOT allow two AAC teams to get BOTH a NYD slot and a CFP slot in the same season.
2) If for some unknown reason it WAS permitted, the other issue is the ranking love given to Coastal Carolina for beating B12 powerhouse Kansas OOC this year and all of their Sunbelt opponents. CC is ranked # 15 right now while equally undefeated SMU sits at 23. The AAC needs either App State or Louisiana (in SunBelt Championship Game) to beat CC.

Coastal definitely needs to lose at some point (with SMU winning all but their UC game) for sure. Could happen!

Only problem is that SMU would most likely lose 2 of their last 3 (at Cincy and at Cincy in the Championship game). No way they would let a 2 loss SMU in a NY6 bowl (and probably rightly so.)
Not buying Houston. Let's beat SMU and Memphis.

Seems right. For what it is worth, we are still terrified to play at Tulsa.
