Texas losing losing this game would be soooooo Texas.
BYU getting warmed up for the Independence Bowl against a team from Conference USA.

UMass ends its 16-game losing streak defeating UConn 27-13.

Arizona now has sole possession of the nation's longest active losing streak, which could be 17 with a loss to UCLA today.

Definitely not getting an at-large NY6 spot. They are definitely going to the Independence Bowl now.

If Cincy gets a playoff spot, the NY6 could go to Coastal leaving CUSA as the only G5 to never have sent team to NY6.

NY6 is only guaranteed to a G5 champ if it’s not in the CFP. So if Cincinnati makes it, Coastal would have to get in as an at-large (which is certainly possible if they run the table).

Nope. The only way Coastal goes to a NY6 bowl is if Cincy loses and falls below them in the rankings or to go as an at-large. All of the NY6 Bowls are part of the CFP selections where the playoff committee makes the bowl selections beyond contractual agreements to Power 5 champions and Notre Dame. If Cincy is the highest-ranked Gang of 5 champion, they would have fulfilled the "access" slot even if it's in the Semifinal.

Always nice to see the Tide go down - I guess Jimbo was talking about whopping Saban in FB not golf after all

Spent the day watching Texas/OU and Alabama at TAMU, and saluting the genius of the SEC. That was must see tv.
SMU defeating Navy in Annapolis was pretty significant. SMU has lost the last five straight meetings there. It's only the Mustangs' third win there and first since 1998.
Cincy stays alive for a CFP slot thanks to ND beating Va Tech. Sorry, but if you want a G5 to reach the playoffs, it's Cincy or no one, and their only chance involves ND running the table, or at worst, finishing 10-2. Of course, one loss eliminates Cincy, so they have to go 13-0, or it won't matter what their opponents do.

Would help a lot if Indiana started winning some games.
