CUSA knows it is toast and is grasping at straws. Just wasted more money paying consultants / advisors than it does paying its institutional members. Nice last grasp at trying to save your own butt, Judy. Come out of your safe space and resign in shame.

There is no true "redundancy"...
Yes, the footprints overlap. However, geography doesn't make institutions similar.
The conferences are aligning according to shared institutional characteristics and commitments.
A league like the AAC would be cutting off an arm and a leg to agree to this.

That has been my guess since day one.
The thing is, when you go through the food line at your mom's house at Thanksgiving, if you are the first one to go get all you want, because by the time you go back things will be empty. If the AAC takes one now and passes, then CUSA/SBC/MWC realignment could happen and many of the teams will spend their money on those moves, and can't do it again in a few years should the AAC change their minds.
I am tired of this schmitt

And the AAC could legitimately drag their ass for the next 2 years.

The other thing is that if a school thinks it has a chance to upgrade it's conference situation in a year or 2 or 3, it will sit still until they know they didn't make the cut. Yes, a school that knows they will not get their number 1 choice will settle and leave for whatever choice it does have.

I hope you are right, but not getting my hopes up.
I can’t help but think of all the SBC schools desire to move to the CUSA, just to realize the CUSA is now only the SBC we are essentially left, if not worse.
The AAC sounds great based on what it was. What will it really be in the future?

It will be CUSA 4.0 without Judy running it in the ground.

Until Memphis, SMU, and South Florida go to the Big XII, which would likely prompt Wichita State to leave. Then the league doesn't look very hot no matter who they add.

Well I did not saying anything about adding. You missed the part where I said "without Judy running it in the ground". Even if those schools leave Judy won't be there to ruin what remains.

There are no SBC schools that desire to be in CUSA. Honestly, there just isn't.

False, 100% false.
I'm sure Little Rock and UTA aren't dying to get in, but would if they had to.

It is certainly telling that many of our programs seem more valuable on the market than what she was able to obtain within C-USA.

Even though Arkansas-Rock has been a devoted member of the conference before football was even started, it doesn't surprise me that self-entitled Slum Belch football fans want them kicked out.
