Our alumni group were going to host an alumni reception tailgate prior to kickoff. But App State fans were so upset they forced the establishment to cancel it.

The ascension of CCU’s Top 25 nationally-ranked Chanticleer football program has brought the University unprecedented national attention.
Unfortunately, not everyone is feeling the teal. The Boone, N.C., venue that had originally agreed to host our pregame event on Wednesday, Oct. 20, has canceled its agreement with us because some on social media have voiced their concerns about the establishment's perceived support of CCU.
We are searching for a new location to host our pregame event and will provide updates ASAP. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

I also think CCU alumni asked for a reservation and then turned it into a much bigger event and the restaurant didn’t want to do it.

I agree. There's not a rule against it, but it's a long upheld thought on this board that you let all of that week's games play out before jumping to the next week.
