Are they even a thing for UCF?

Anyone here check them out?
Well they’ve done it before.

The Pirates are coming UCF….

Anyone calling to intentionally hit someone after the whistle or hurt someone is a giant pos. That said, I’ve never heard of the Pegasus podcast although I do know who Christian Simmons is. Willingly taking a roughing penalty should tell you all you need to know.
Not going to pretend that this doucher in any way represents UCF. Looking forward to a legitimate stomping at the hands of UCF tomorrow. 04-cheers
What a douchebag.

Appreciate it, if anyone is cheering to intentionally hurt someone we don’t want you as a fan.
We have tons of podcasts. Its fan driven so it will be slanted and harsh at times.

Every school has douches, sadly they are usually the loudest.

That was so long ago, the culture is so diff now. Don't wake up that dog.
Yea, I don't listen to the Pegasus Podcast. There are way too many UCF Sports podcast to keep track of what everyone is saying.

Intentional late hits or attempting to intentionally injure a player is never okay.

I listen to Sons of UCF Podcast. To my knowledge, it's the only podcast that has media credentials for UCF Athletics.

UCF got more class than that, just some random guy talking nonsense.

Lol ….yeah the players on these teams weren’t even born yet when that happened.
Late hits and intentionally injuring players sucks. There is no room for that. UCF does not support these losers.
So are they some big UCF Football podcasting outfit or just small time clickbait?

The members of our fanbase that were going to games during that era can't hear UCF without compulsively shouting the name Marcus Crandall.
Just so other people don’t have to search the entire podcast to find it, the two podcast hosts talk about Holton Ahlers between 31:14 to 36:40. There may be more after 36:40, but I got bored listening to them, so I stopped there. I don’t know these guys, and I’d never heard of their podcast before.

So here’s what I heard, and I’m going to paraphrase rather than use exact quotes, but I’ll try to describe it as objectively as I can. I heard one of the hosts (I’ll call him Host #2, the one who made the comments in question) say something about Ahlers avoiding getting sacked in order to be effective for ECU and that Ahlers makes poor decisions at times. Host #1 mentions ECU’s performance against Tulane and how well one of ECU’s running backs performed with very few carries. Shortly after that, Host #2 says that UCF’s defense needs to hit Ahlers a lot, even after the whistle, and he tries to qualify it by saying he doesn’t mean that he thinks Ahlers should be hurt; he says to keep pressure up on Ahlers, “even after the whistle,” and compel him to make mistakes. He says he wants Ahlers to be “afraid of the pressure.” Host #1 jokes about Host #2 calling for roughing the passer penalties just to scare opposing quarterbacks. Host #2 then says “Yes, get the roughing the passer penalties because they’ll pay off later in the game.” He again mentions Ahlers’ history of making poor decisions in games.

I don’t know what to make of the comments other than that everyone knows that there are many podcast and radio hosts out there whose job it is to get listeners. That means making comments that get attention (I guess it worked, in this case, because here we are talking about what they said). My impression is that Host #2 was trying to say UCF’s defense should get into Ahlers’ head a bit to get him to mess up; however, he said it in a way that he was trying to make it sound controversial, even though he seemed to imply that he wasn’t trying to be controversial (yeah, right, LOL). I don’t think these guys want Ahlers, or any other opposing player, to get hurt. I think they want attention more than anything. Maybe I’m wrong; just my opinion.

See you all at the Bounce House.

Just know the more you hate, the more hate UCF brings. What ECU say on boneyardbanter is shared. It helps to turn up the hate since we are not local. UCF fans are very much online and what is said multiplies very quickly.

This is the reason UCF has a paywall discussion board. We know how a few posts can rally other fans.
There’s one of these ******** in every fanbase. I hate on UCF a lot but when I saw their QB go down with that leg injury, I couldn’t see a UCF player. All I saw was a kid close to my kids age. How anyone calls for late hits and crap like that is beyond me. We want to win, not injure. Glad to see a universal condemnation of this stuff. I mean, it’s only sports.

Got to say Boneyardbanter must have had a jump in guests. Complaining should be done behind a paywall.

To close out thread, that podcast I have barely heard of and does not speak for UCF fans. UCF was down and had very limited depth and ECU should have won but they didn't. Your coach was licking his chops to play UCF yet now he has to explain the loss. Good luck the rest of season.
