FWIW, people are saying this guy is credible and not a hack. We’ll see!
If true, not surprising at all.

Yes, Matt Jones is a UK guru. He has a statewide radio talk show. He knows his stuff, and wouldn't be floating Murray if it weren't true.
For clarification, the title of the thread was 100% tongue-in-cheek and a joke. David and Frank are obviously legends.
Murray Valley Conference

But to be clear: David and Frank are legends for two vastly different reasons.

LOL at the thread title
The Valley has significantly improved as a basketball league. Wonder if Wichita State reconsiders its AAC affiliation.

really doubt it.

Going to put a lot of pressure on the A10 now IMO. You wonder if they try to talk with Temple about them returning.

One is the Harlem Globetrotters and the other is the Washington Generals

Splitting that BB money now 12 ways.

Lost the historic 10 team lean and mean advantage.

I dont think it puts any pressure on the A-10 at all.
And I doubt that Temple trades Memphis, Wichita and Houston for VCu, Dayton and Davidson at the expense of UMASSing their FBS program

These 2 moves will put 3-4 more quality games on my team's schedule. I am good with that.

That's only guaranteed if the Valley goes to a 22 game schedule. If you do north-south divisions, then you're trading games with say Loyola and Bradley for games with Murray State and Belmont.

If the conference office tries to get creative with scheduling, like CUSA did a few years ago (scheduling late-season conference games midseason to boost NET and RPI), who knows

Well played.

Worth noting: This board's "Washington Generals," relatively speaking, is more "impressive" in some respects than its "Harlem Globetrotters."

Would that include the MVFC for football?

No word yet. With the OVC down to 5 FB, it's conceivable Murray FB stays there for a year or two just to help the OVC with the autobid. OVC needs Murray FB if it can't both woo WIU and keep TSU.
If true, so happy for Murray State. That as bad as the private-public politics get in that conference, Murray still got the votes. I mean, I knew Belmont would be a chaser (though I thought they would have moved east to SoCon), but the chatter/smoke of UTA or others…and I bought it that there was never going to be this thing with Murray getting in. Finding another public member that had the support while Murray has been on the doorstep waiting for years while the private schools demanded equal numbers within.

Frank, how will you get by once you lose this side job?
To bad you don't have any marketable skills, huh?
