That's odd. I didn't think neither of you were going to win the championship this year. I guess the team that's been in 3 of the last 4 championship games,,,, you know Memphis doesn't have a Say.Epic Mind BlownEpic Mind Blown
I just saw it reported on ESPN that Dillon Gabriel broke his clavicle on the last play of the game. Horrible luck. Best wishes to him on a quick recovery.

I think we just went from a potentially special year to a lot of people gaining major playing time. Hopefully some of these injuries won't keep them out for long..

Wow! Man I hate to see that. Hope Gabriel has a quick and healthy recovery as the rest of those teammates. That is a lot of kids to go down in one game. Was the surface OK? Makes you wonder. Good luck and I think your program probably has some reliable depth. Who's the back up QB? Go AAC!!

Don't think we have a good year, but not because of one loss, but because we lost so many players to injuries. We don't have the depth to take like 8 injuries to key personnel this year.
he just posted that he will not need surgery but the timetable to return is unknown.
hard loss.

Week 3

Now you get it.

So right. Both sides of the ball needs improvement.

Congrats on the Memphis win.
It was about 85 at kick-off with 80% humidity Friday night. It was close to 100 on the field. With the humidity it probably felt well over 100.

With that being said you started seeing a lot of cramps during the late stages of both halves. As I watched both teams suffer through the heat, I was surprised UCF wasn’t more acclimated to it.

August football camps are almost unbearable in the Ohio Valley but they are nothing compared to Florida. Before the game those in our section were talking and we expected UCF to have a clear advantage dealing with the heat and humidity.

While Louisville had players dealing with the heat and humidity, UofL appeared to be the better conditioned team.

UCF fans: Has there been any discussion among your fans or in Orlando about the conditioning of your team. There is a strong correlation between conditioning and injuries.

Can't UCF just get on the phone to Hawaii and have them send another QB???
Who is your backup QB?

There's some bad teams in AAC, I still think you get bowl eligible.
Didn't y'all have a P5 QB transfer in who was expected to push Gabriel?

Gatewood left UK after losing the starting job there and Auburn before that.

Yeah Memphis is going to be good this year. Great win over Mississippi State. You gotta admit that people might have thought losing Norvell was going to hurt Memphis' chances this year.

We missed out on that and they sent the next one to Maryland. Will have to wait another year to reload from the islands.

Good grief. That's like an entire years worth of injuries in one week.

Yeah there has to be something up with Louisville's turf??? It's crazy how many players got hurt. Louisville fans used a witch doctor. That's my story.
We are doomed…

Was Gabriel involved in the play after the 1st lateral? Was he trying to get in on blocking down field that was the root of the injury. I often worry when I see my QB doing something like that and then possibly getting injured. I remember Gabriel helping to push the pile into the endzone against Cincy for their first TD last year. It's admirable that your QB wants to get involved in the play down field, but sometimes a questionable decision.

Injured on a forward lateral that was flagged. Broke his collarbone and my pride.
Yeah he picked up the live ball and tried to toss it. The linebacker grabbed him and planted him while his arm was extended after throwing it.
