He keeps ending up with "super teams". Was really hoping to seem him latch on with a mid level team where he could playa larger role.
A 2 way spot is pretty good. Let's hope he can land on their NBA roster in the end.

I'm no NBA expert, but it seems to me that his combination of skill and relatively low (by NBA standards) salary make him more attractive to teams with big time salary cap problems.

Keep in mind this is an opportunity to compete for a two way contract.

No knock against him, but a 2 way contract isn’t great. It’s not conducive to someone trying to put significant minutes on a court to impress.

It's not, but he's being paid pretty well to play a game he loves as a 20 something year old. Who here wouldn't be in heaven if you were in his shoes, two way or not?

It might not be ideal but it is a NBA job ,pays great and he is playing a game for a living . He has one ring and would be in a nice spot to get another one !

Exactly. He's being paid really good money to play basketball for a living. Not bad for a guy in his 20's.
I think you all misunderstood my intent. I'm not knocking it at all. I think it's great he's in the NBA and getting these opportunities. It's cool for us as UNCW fans too. I was just approaching it from a realistic playing time perspective for a guy that we all want and know has the ability to succeed if given minutes.
Nets have waived Cacok. Would be great to see him end up in Charlotte.

It would but the Hornets have to many guys signed already-he would be in Greensboro more than likely.

This is a good spot for Cacok: “The Spurs claimed former Lakers/Nets forward Devontae Cacok off waivers and will convert Cacok to a two-way contract”

I tend to agree. The spurs play more old school basketball where each position has defined roles.

At the very least he might get some real coaching in the Spurs organization .
Spurs are great at player development. Dave Telep former recruiting expert is now Director of Player Personnel and great at identifying players like Devonte that they can develop.
Cacok on the opening night roster for the Spurs!!!
Update: but doesn’t look like he dressed
