And we had a thread on this. That whole global ranking is total nonsense. Like being on the who's who list of college seniors.

Grad rate and acceptance percentage. That's the shite that matters. Being #2 public in TN means about the 12th best on TN.

It won't get better if people lie to themselves.

Blast away at me.

Academics is for loosers.
Out of the three main global rankings the one I see cited on the realignment board is the ARWU. We haven't made that one yet.

Lately you sure have been making an effort to make posts that go against me for some reason. You conveniently don't respond to my posts that would be considered positive. You didn't respond to SK for saying it was nonsense. One thing I've learned from posting on messageboards on and off for over 20 years is that when I make a neutral comment other people will apply emotional perspectives to it. If they disagree that makes it negative and if they agree that makes it positive when I had no intent of being positive or negative in that instance. As I've said before I try to look at as much info as possible to form the best view that I can. And when it comes to perception and acceptance we should be looking at what others look at to improve that perception and acceptance.

And actually yes I'm not fun at parties. I don't really care to go to them. By definition I'm an introvert. When you add the apathy that I've developed that makes it even worse. Coming here is one of the few things I've still had the motivation to do.

Well no because there is no Memphis City schools. In many endeavors Univ of Memphis and Shelby County Schools collaborate. I was involved in some planning today for an event we’ve been doing for several years and will possible expand it to Middle TN in a similar form.
National university ranks Memphis academically lower compared to other Universities in the USA. It's been documented by many sources.

Except the "Shelby County" school system doesn't include:
Collierville
Germantown (many of them, at least)
Arlington
Bartlett
Millington
Lakeland

Which makes it pretty much Memphis City schools.
