Imagine if they played Toledo. The talent gap would be about even based on recruiting rankings.
It’s pretty well known the Wolverine fan base is about as elitist as they get. But understandable as there is a tremendous history with the program. But they’re really second tier as far as top P5s go. They get their a$$e$ handed to them every time they play a top 10 team.
I'm assuming a similar gloating article was posted prior to every one of our Pig10 victories.
Think of how much the world would change if all of these games were all 1-for-1's. How many more victories over the Pig10 would NIU have in the last 2 decades if the pig10 teams bussed into Dekalb once in a while? ...That would be too equitable and logical, sorry for bringing that up - somewhere at ESPN headquarters an over-payed exec just did an old fashioned spit take.
(please don't bring up stadium size etc., the should-be world I'm describing has minor adjustments for that in place that occurred naturally over the equitably-scheduled years).
Listening to ESPNU radio a host (that is a Michigan fan) sarcastically said if Michigan throws up 70 versus NIU...THAT will prove they are for real...and then laughed. Essentially didn’t just laugh about possibly winning, laughed that even blowing us out is assumed and a given.
Damn it made me mad. I hope we can shock them...though gut tells me I will be pissed because he will end up being validated after the game

Safe to say they're expecting a beat down. I hope NIU goes balls out to stop the run and we take our chances against the pass. The defense needs to be punching at footballs all game--definitely will need turnovers to have a shot.
We haven’t been this big of an underdog in a long time. I hope they overlook us.
