$60 on ticket master for the cheapest ticket, makes for an expensive game for a family of five seeing how I'm not emotionally invested in either team. Any chance for a flash ticket sale later in the week?

Yeah. I posted about this on another thread. They really need to do a discounted ticket promotion for this one. ESPN game. SEC opponent. Conference shake ups going on.

We need to fill the Liberty Bowl by hook or crook. A home game vs an SEC opponent with 20,000 empty seats in the joint is not a good look.

I'm a USF Alum, but enjoy taking in a Tiger game when a heavy weight comes to town, I'm hoping for a flash sale on Thursday or Friday, if not then I'll be watching on ESPN2.

For your sake and ours, I hope they do a discount ticket promotion, within the next day or two. Lots and lots of unsold tickets still remain.

It isn't a good look to be complaining about $60 ticket prices, when our marquee games have had higher prices since forever, and ideally we need $200 million to build a new stadium.

Tweets calling Rudd out for the higher ticket prices and posts like this are depressing. Our hockey team plays 41 home games every year in a 21,300 seat arena that has been sold out every game except one, from 2004-2019. That game, only 20,323 tickets were sold. Preseason games are also sold out.

Good luck getting a pair of decent seats for under $250 per ticket.

Once in a P5 league, all tickets will be priced just like this or more plus half of the stadium will be a donation for the seat to even get to pay the price for a ticket.

Fans have to step up, they do at West Virginia and many other poorer schools. Sell outs all the time.

Totally agree with this.

If you want the team succeed and be in a P5, this is part of it.
I don't disagree with any of that. But, the reality and the goal does not yet meet. Hopefully one day it will, with a shiny new stadium and P5 status.

As of 9-14-21 there isn't a huge demand in the Mid-South for $60 tickets for the casual fan.

How is the mask zealotry at the Liberty Bowl this year? Would I need a face diaper the whole game?

A perfectly extraordinary and exhilarating way to spend three hours or so on a weekend day!

My goodness - all for the low, low price of $60. Pony up ya cheap bast**ds. The Tigers are home!

Nah. Opening game I put one on to go in the bathroom. Otherwise, no mask needed in the stands.

While all of that is true and I share your enthusiasm, the fact is that we rarely put more than 40,000-45,000 in the stadium. Even recently for Ole Miss and UCLA we were at around 45,000.

All I'm saying is that due to the current landscape, it would be smart to fill up the seats anyway possible. Unfortunately, we are not at a place (yet) where we can fill 58,000 seats at $60 per pop.

If you do away with cheap tickets no one will ever wait to buy a average priced ticket. Having cheap tickets makes people "not buy" reasonably priced tickets.

Making plans to attend games is expensive to do, for teams who do have fans who pay this price they have to plan, budget and simply not do other things in order to purchase these tickets and the drinks/food when in the stadium. It's very similar to a planned weekend outing. Planning and budgeting is essential, moving the cheese a bit for fans, it will much better in the end.

I disagree. It’s an SEC opponent. We charge top dollar when they come to our place because they charge us top dollar when we visit their stadium. I’m paying the freight. I see people throwing $100 dollar bills into slots at the casinos. A $60 ticket is nothing for a college game.

If it’s too steep for your blood, stick to $8 tickets for high school football on Friday nites.

The first 20K of rich fans are easy to find. It's the stragglers that make up the upper tier seating that you have to convince to fill up a stadium.

Discounted tickets to fill up a stadium playing a P5 would be far worse to any conference presidents.
