Hello to all you crazy people on the other side of the mighty river.

Since the last time UofM was in Jonesboro was 2012, and many things have changed since then, here is the updated information for those of you making the 1 hour drive over. (From Campus to Campus, its roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes depending on traffic in both cities)

Covid Restrictions In April of 2020 Arkansas ended all Covid restrictions state wide. The current state policy is that people should make their own informed decisions about the health of themselves and their families. Masks are generally required in all schools and health care facilities state wide with no opt outs allowed at choice of business. AState's mask policy applies only to academic areas of campus. Athletic complex is exempt. Masks are not required anywhere in the stadium, and be aware, they will most likely not be worn.

Tailgating: Allowed in any parking lot except for the Embassy Suites. (Only hotel guests) It is first come first serve and free provided you arrive prior to 3 hours before kickoff. If you plan to arrive after 3pm, you can tailgate in any free lot, however to access the lots closer to the stadium to tailgate, you'll be required to pay. Lots are manned beginning at 3pm by police officers. If you are already parked by 3pm, you are not required to pay, provided you don't move your vehicle.

Alcohol: No open containers. Keep beer in cups and out of cans and bottles. Remember Craighead county is a dry county, alcohol is not sold in gas stations here city wide. You must purchase before you get here.

Restaurants: There are many suggestions both chain and local. Several are on Red Wolf Blvd on your way in to campus, others are located downtown if you don't mind driving a few minutes.

Just a note: Bring Cash. I know Memphis has moved away from Cash at athletic events city wide the last two years for some strange reaso, but parking here is cash only, and any food truck and vendors in parking lots only accept cash as well. Football concessions take Cash or card as usual

Safe travels for anyone making the trip. Normally we'd sell this out, but Covid has destroyed most everyone's attendance this year, so I have no idea what to expect. My guess is 20K or so.
Yesterday there was not a mask in sight.
Thinking of traveling over and I see our allotment is gone or returned. Anyone with tickets know their section? The website notes PP and QQ, but am verifying before purchasing. Thanks.
Good info. Thanks

Visitng sections are P, Q, PP, and QQ Primary seating is in lower level, but for nearby teams, upper level seats get heavily used. I don't know if your band is coming, but if they do they'll be in PP

However, usually speaking visiting fans buy tickets in just about every East Side section. Half that side is students, and the other is season ticket holders. There are usually tickets in both areas, though mix with our students at your own risk.

I saw a few, mostly on young children.

Awesome! Have a great time!
And since I know the question is coming. Yes, that is indeed a waterfall inside our stadium. It was Terry Mohajir's idea before he vanished for UCF. We're not sure about it either, but it's very pretty at least.
Any recommendations for a bar/grill restaurant before the game? Within walking distance to the stadium would be ideal. Thanks!

J’Town’s Grill on Johnson Ave. is right across the street. Really good food there.
Arkansas like the rest of the confederacy, let anyone make reckless disease spreading decisions under the BS of freedom

Get vaccinated please
Information: go across the river and drive northwest. Went to a wedding there not long ago. Seems like they are building a bit on the west side of town.

This is a really dumb comment. I’m 100% vaxxed and all for it. But people from all walks of life aren’t getting it.

The waterfall looks like a prime candidate for dye or some type of coloration. Has any opposing team tried to put dye in the water so that it matched their school colors?

Poor ignorant confederates are members of the largest unvaxed demographic, the poor and ignorant. Those who encourage this are ultra right politicians and far right wing media pundits. They of course get vaccinated.

I know what you’re doing. You’re planning on robbing us of our beer and cash when we get there.
