Not much surprising in the Game 2 game notes.

I noticed Jarrett Paul is now listed as a starter at CB. Watson, LaFleur, and Nowling are all listed after not playing last week (Watson and LaFleur both listed as starters). Donnellon is listed as the starter at RG and Ryland the starter at K after both being hurt last week. Another interesting tidbit, last week at DT they had Merritt and Crawford, which they do again this week, but they add true-freshmen Peyton Price.

Still no Knue.

Knue was not dressed and was wearing a sling on Friday. Crawford, Lefluer, and i think Watson did not dress either.

Guess I never pay much attention to DBs. 01-lauramac2

BTW, I believe approximately 60 players got in the game Friday.
Info on EMU @ WI and CMU and WMU games. Note: WMU gave up 551 yards vs. UofM. That's a lot, even against a good team.

Where is Woo Scott? Is he hurt again??
Has anyone taken a look at Wisconsin’s DL? It’s the biggest I’ve seen - DEs at 6’7” and 290 LBs….DTs that can move and weigh 350lbs. Whew!

If our OL/Running game gain 150 yards they should be recognized with some MAC award :-)

He played against SFU and is listed as the starter at nose tackle again this week.
Big question: how much does Woo REALLY weigh?

If EMU can run for 75 yards it'll be a plus. I expect CC to usw the short passing game to supplement to run. It's worked in the past. A 5 yd pass is as good as a 5 yd run.
Is anyone going or have been to camp Randall and have any insight? Do they sell beer in the stadium? It appears most of the tailgating doesn’t happen in the traditional style but more at bars and house parties can anyone confirm that?

I was going to ask a similar question. If anyone has any tips on Madison/Camp Randall please share. Parking? Places to eat? Places to avoid? How early to arrive at the stadium? Will I get too much sh*t wearing green and white?

Just ordered new gear for the wife a new pink EMU sweatshirt. Bet if you wear one of those you will get noticed.
Hi there!

I took a deep dive into reddit and google and some youtube videos. Here is what I've come up with.

Parking and tailgating (closest to furthest)
1. Randall Elementary
2. 1204 Saint James Ct Madison, WI
3. 20 S. Park St.
4. Meriter Hospital area
5. Vilas Zoo, Walk through Zoo to stadium

Must experience streets
1. Brees Terrace
2. Regent Street
3. Regent and Park Streets

Food places…
State Street Brats, Vintage Spirits & Grill, Dotty Dumpling’s Dowry and Ian’s Pizza, Greenbush Bakery (Donuts), Mickie’s Dairy Bar (breakfast), Paul's Pel'meni (Russian dumplings), A Pig In A Fur Coat - Italian, Weary Traveler Freehouse

Awesome...thanks for sharing your research! Russian dumplings sound intriguing...guessing they are similar to peirogi.
Dear cidbearit,
Pelmeni are small Russian dumplings usually filled with meat. Very similar to peirogi, but generally much smaller. Usually served with a thin gravy. If, done correctly, they are delicious.
Interesting article about Ben Bryant.

Early in his coaching CC seemed to love the two QB thing. Sometimes with Grissom it was a 3 QB thing. Really not sure how I feel about except to say the team seems to click better with one running the whole show. I not totally sold that all the folks listed on the depth chart will be able to play against Wisconsin.

I agree and said similarly that CC liked 2 QB's. I was shot down by a few on this board about that. Im hopeful that this all shakes itself out by the end of OOC in time for MAC play. You cant find a rhythm as a QB switching every series and perhaps more importantly the O-line needs to adjust to a single QB. I think CC is doing it right by letting the players dual it out themselves and prove it over a few games.
I will be at the game. I have been to a few Badgers games and know a little about Madison. The iconic places to eat or the places they highlight on tv during games are Mickies Dairy Bar for breakfast/brunch, which is right across the street from Camp Randall, but its first come first serve, cash only, and pretty busy on a football Saturday. It's a greasy spoon mid-century style eatery known for their scramblers. State Street Brats is on State Street, which is a pedestrian mall, the connects the Capitol to Bascom Hill. It's a two story bar, not a ton of seating, but a place to grab a drink and a white or red bratwurst. For dinner I usually go to The Old Fashioned, which is on the Capitol Square, they are known for their Wisconsin styled food, including what many say are the best cheese curds, and the Wisconsin old fashioned made with brandy.

There are a decent amount of places to eat around the Capitol Building and along State Street. I have had breakfast and dinner at Graze and enjoyed it, which has good views of Capitol.

On Saturday morning, the Dayne County Farmers Market is set up around Capitol Square and you can find food there as well from local vendors. The BigTen Network did a piece on Stella's Bakery, which makes a spicy cheese bread that everyone seems to love and they usually have a tent at the Farmers Market.

At night State Street is more of a college hangout and places around the Capitol tend to be an older crowd

Madison is one of two major U.S. cities on an isthmus, and both lakes, Monona and Mendota, are within walking distance. You can sit and have drink or bite to eat at the UW Memorial Union Terrace on Lake Mendota. On the other side, is the Monona Terrace, this is closer to the capitol square and houses a convention center. There is also a small memorial to Otis Redding.

Tailgating happens all over town, Wisconsin puts on Badgerville, located just north of the stadium a few hours before the game and it's free to anyone. Drinks and food are available and there is live music. I think the UW band plays as well.

They do not sell beer at Camp Randall

Wisconsin fans will not attack you for wearing green and white. You might get a comment from a college kid, but most people there are friendly and want you to enjoy your stay in Madison.
