Thank you for the well wishes. We all knew this day would come, but hoped a few more would join us. You all bailed us out when the BIG EAST collapsed, and I will forever be grateful.

Navy/SMU we barely knew you, but in our games you battled it out. Much respect.

Temple our games were physical and tough. I thought with more time we would have a great rivalry.

Tulsa thanks for coming to our aid. We have been conference mates in the past, and have historical battles especially the AAC Championship game. Until we meet again.

ECU what happened? Was looking forward to full houses, but it didn’t happen. Good luck, and righten the ship.

Tulane thanks for answering the phone. Enjoyed the games, and keep building program and brand!

South Florida thanks for sticking with us, and we had some battles in our times together. Sorry you can’t join us on this part of the journey. I always looked forward to South Florida week.

Memphis this one hurts the most. We will miss our rivalries, and especially fond of the battles at the end of 2019. Stay in touch and keep building the program.

I'd echo all of this. You'll all be missed.
i heard that b-12 is calling for 6 schools, 4 now and two when OUT leaves , Memphis and colorado st were named
Also, keep up the mostly supportive and friendly banter and brotherhood. Don’t turn into the CUSA board where every thread turns into a pissing match about which teams shouldn’t have been added or are worthless or whatever.
Congrats to your schools and the others and Good Luck in your new conference.

Now that depends on who is added, doesn’t it? 03-lmfaoI kid, I kid.
With the exception of the bloviating dynamic duo who have not been right about anything, this place is great.
It sucks to be on this side of expansion but congratulations to UC, UCF and UH. The programs being added to the Big12 are all very deserving.

04-cheers
You guys wanna leave a good coach or two at ECU so we can get included in the next expansion
This feels like a breakup and i'm honestly hurt from this in a way I wouldn't imagine. It's just silly sports right?
College sports brings some of us so much joy and plays huge roles (sometimes too big) in our lives. So I guess it makes sense to feel like i've been stabbed in my gut, especially considering how much this will change something I love so much.

With all that said just know there is a lot of us that won't make the life raft, and our reality isn't bright. So when you see your team run onto the field or court appreciate it just a little more for the ones of us left behind.

It was so much fun, memories i'll never forget.
Good luck guys.

We really enjoyed playing Memphis, some unforgettable games. I really think and hope that we will continue to play you guys OOC. Good luck from the bottom of my heart.

My freshman year was 2013, our first year in the American. I watched early in the morning the first every AAC game UH vs temple on TV. Traveled to Louisville later on that year to watch us lose that game but thought to myself what a great crowd and that if Louisville was able to do this as a city school maybe Houston would be able to too after our stadium was built.

All ive known in my time as a UH fan are these teams and it actually is tough for a few of them as a fan to not play anymore.

Memphis in particular, you guys have some of the most rabid fans out there and never missed a chance to let Houston know we haven’t won since 2015 in football. The Bane of my football experience the last few years has been watching UH coog it to Memphis’ enjoyment. Our coaching staff openly mocked. My only recourse is to pull up the missed 3pt kick in 2015 and the crowd noise going from distracting yells to powerful cheers.

In the end the American did its job for Houston, UCF, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Louisville. It highlights the best of the rest. And in a class society when your number is called you must go.

I’ll still watch a few AAC teams but also I’ll be glad to be rid of teams like UConn storming the field against us when we inevitably coog it. Now I’ll get to see the couple hundred jay hawk fans do that while Dana gets hammered at the local Indian casino
It's getting too sappy over here.

You still have a shot in about 2 years supposedly. Don't give up...yet.
Congrats everyone. I agree SMU and Memphis will move in when Texas and Oklahoma actually leave. I have no idea whats going to happen to ECU, Temple, Tulsa and USF

Very well said. This is the kind of polite humility I hope we see from all the schools that may be leaving. Regardless of what happens with the Big12---we will all still be competing together for at least a season or very possibly several more. 04-cheers
It’s not over for some of us
Do tell? Can’t sleep and am in need of a good bedtime story. Nothing scary please.
Most fun conference we will ever be a part of.

I know things look bleak now but don't ever give up. Memphis just missed the cut and this won't be the last round of re-allignment. Win the AAC consistently, win NY6 bowls, kick a** in basketball, funnel money into football, and your future looks bright. Best of luck guys
