Is there any other program you can go 30-51 and get extended?

Eastern now has a respectable program under Creighton. That is what counts. His first two years were what was expected, looking at where the program was for so long.

EMU is allegedly 30-51 under him -- but yes, you are correct. That is respectable for EMU. Actually, I am still shocked he hasn't been picked up. Going 27-29 since 2016 would make, say, Illinois go 11-1 in a regular season.

Especially if that overall record was weighed down by the first year or two there with the players brought in by the previous coach.

To be fair, while WMU’s expectations are higher, in a way I think Lester is kinda like our own Creighton.

Just good enough to keep his job safe. Just not good enough to get hired away by a P5.

As well they should! That will be the last chance they have this season to do that. Their one G5 game is against #22 Coastal Carolina, then they get their usual conference beatings. But 1-11 is better than 0-12, if I remember my math correctly.

You’re right on that. Unfortunately I can see Lester winning 6 or 7 games every year and getting a lifetime contract from his suga momma in our AD.

Yea, our own coach Novak had not such a great record for a while based on his first few years. But he made the team a lot better. Creighton had a difficult task getting EMU competitive and he did it.

Well deserved.
