We’re less that 48 hours away from kickoff…
What’s your 12 game record prediction for these Blazers?

I’m starting with a prediction of…
8-4
JSU W
at Georgia L
at North Texas W
at Tulane W
Liberty W
FAU W
at Southern Miss W
Rice W
Louisiana Tech W
at Marshall W
at UTSA W
UTEP W

C-USA championship
Western Kentucky W

Birmingham Bowl
Mississippi State W

13-1, end season ranked No. 14. Just have a feeling this is going to be one of those years where the stars align perfectly. Lord knows UAB fans deserve one of those.
Maybe I still have PTSD from all the times Lucy jerked the football away from us, but I think the schedule is tough enough that 4-5 losses is a realistic estimate. I think Georgia is the best team we have played in the Clark era. That's one loss. I think we will probably also be underdogs against Liberty, Tulane, UTSA, and Marshall (lets say we split those, so now up to 3 losses) with tough games against FAU, La Tech & UNT (say we lose one of the three, so now up to four losses.)

Of course, I hope I'm wrong and we have a fairytale season.
I think 8 - 4 is a solid year, given the schedule. I'd like more, of course, and the stars seem to be aligned. We'll see.

Everyone on this board wants and deserves the fairy tale, but Cinderellas are good stories because they're rare.
If we can clean up the mistakes we made during the Louisiana and LA Tech games last year (Spencer broke the plane....), then we should have a special season.
UTSA and Marshall are overvalued. Neither one will live up to the hype.

FAU is the toughest game on the schedule because they're good and where it falls.

Been watching C-USA football since the first day of the league. A team with a dominant OL and DL will roll through this league. UAB"s OL and DL is going to choke slam people like the Undertaker at Wrestlemania.
I predict 9-3 but could see 13-1. If we finish 13-1 we are definitely changing conferences UAB12
JSU - W
UGA- L
UNT- W
TULANE- W
Liberty- W
FAU- W
USM- W
Rice- W
La Tech- W
Marshall- L
UTSA- W
UTEP- W

10-2 and we beat Marshall again in the Conference Championship game.
15-0
Best case 13-1 worst case 8-4

Agree with DD

My prediction is both the football and basketball team finish the season ranked in the top 25. Charlie pimp slaps Lucy.
I can see a case where we go 6-6. It’s not one I want to talk about, but there are definitely 6 games on that schedule we can lose. 11-1 is the ceiling. Our schedule is a beast this year, and I want to say 8-4, but something is telling me 9-3. So I’ll say 9-3, but outside of Georgia I’m not going to begin to guess where the other 2 losses come from.
No one cares if you predict 14-0 or 13-1 because deep down you know that ain't gonna happening. But you'll get torn apart if you predict an 8-4 or 7-5 record because that is a very realistic possibility based of recent history. I'll just say UAB will not go undefeated, not be ranked at the end of the season, and have only one home loss.
I’ll be a bit of a homer and say 2 losses, 3 at most. Repeat CUSA champs.

15-0 in football and a final four in basketball along with an invite to the ACC.

8-4 with losses to Georgia, Tulane, and Liberty. Still CUSA West champs.
A case certainly can be made for 6-6. If you were just looking at paper or didn't have a good grasp on the personnel, I can understand why you'd make it. There's a reason that over/under for Ws sits at 7.5. And yes, on paper this is UAB's toughest schedule since the Return.

I just think this team is built for it, and after watching about 100 hours of video of both UAB and key opponents in the last 2 months, I'm pretty confident in predicting closer to best case than worst case.

Georgia is the best team UAB has played since restarting football, by a good bit. But I also saw how Cincinnati matched up with them on the lines in the Sugar Bowl, and that to me is going to be a big tell for how the rest of the season might go. UAB competes at the LOS with the Dogs and there isn't a team left on the schedule they can't mash. They are going to grind up some teams.

Scariest teams to come to Bham since the Return are Liberty and FAU, back to back. I think UAB will play very well against Liberty, though. It's the next one, FAU, that is scarier because I think it falls at a place where the Blazers could be gassed emotionally and physically.
9-3 regular season.

A loss to UGA, Liberty, & FAU.

Probably hosting the CUSA championship game in Bham with a rematch vs Marshall or FAU.
10-2
