I wasn’t born yet when it happened, and I don’t really know enough about the situation to have an opinion on it. But it’s definitely news worthy and deserves a post. He’s only been recommended, still has to be approved, so nothing official yet.
The lack of a district attorney's office presence at Sirhan's hearing did not sit well with some prosecutors.

"This is one of the most notorious political assassinations in U.S. history and the killer is being considered for release without benefit of a representative on behalf of the people of California," said Vern Pierson, president of the California District Attorney's Association and the D.A. of El Dorado County.

"That is disgraceful and it's an abrogation of the responsibilities of the elected District Attorney of Los Angeles," he said before Friday's decision.
I would oppose parole for people — like Sirhan — who commit murder.

But even I will admit that a man who has been incarcerated for over 53 years has paid a legitimate price for his crimes.

Finally, Sirhan has been “considered” for parole about 15 times already, and has always been denied. Probably will be denied again this time.

So it's ok to murder someone in cold blood and not serve a life sentence?? Dude. He may have paid A price but he hasn't paid in full, come on man.

you wrote it….he cherry picked…his cherries = 1

@noSympathy
Just like James Earl Ray and Lee Harvey Oswald, Sirhan Sirhan was the patsy and not the real killer.

Sirhan confronted Kennedy from the front yet the fatal shots were at close range to the back of the head.

J Edgar Hoover is the real killer of those public figures.

On rereading it, no, not entirely. But enough to make me think you feel he may have been punished enough although expressly stating you would be against his release. But Stink is right, I did cherry pick.

Also, I didn't mean to be a dick and can see now I was a bit of one, sorry.

I have no doubt that Hoover was privately overjoyed to learn those 3 (JFK - MLK - RFK) had been killed. That’s just the kind of person Hoover was, and he viewed all 3 of them as “bad” for America. Plus, the hatred was deeply personal in RFK’s case.

But I’ve never seen any evidence that Hoover had a hand in their deaths. I’m very skeptical that he did.
CIA in my opinion, but not much diff.
