At this writing the Wave is 5-3, I believe we will finish no less that 8-4, with a possibility that we can run the board for the rest of the year and finish with a 9-3 record.

Either way...OUTSTANDING. 04-cheers
Coach Scelfo is right when he always says that the most important game is the next one on the schedule.

I'd say that there are some good things that the team can accomplish if they play well, play with a good deal of consistency, take care of business and don't get distracted in fan hoopla, etc.

More specifically in this game the offense really needs to be more consistent and get off track in the 2nd half. I'd like to see them be able mount drives, rack up 1st downs and keep Navy off the field, and be able to continue to do so throughout the game. The defense needs to make solid hits, wrap up tackles and stay with assignments.

You are right, the offense does need to be more consistant.

I do see one major achievement with this team, they are believing in themselves and coming together as a team. 04-bow
What you're seeing is the effect of having a lot of seniors on defense. That's been the same story with a lot of different Tulane teams in all of the programs. Baseball in 2001. Men's basketball in 1999-2000 and several times prior to then. Women's basketball in 2000 and 2001. Football in 1998.

When there are a lot of capable seniors on the roster there's a chance for some good things.

Now next year the offense will be older but the defensive front will be totally different and a big question mark.
