I apologize if this was in another thread and I missed it, but Glenn is expected to make his MLB Debut tomorrow night against the Astros. Great stuff!!
Good move by the Rangers giving him his first start in his hometown area. Glenn is from Spring, pitched at Concordia HS in Tomball and of course at Rice. This should be a very special homecoming for Glenn and his family and friends.

And the way the Astros typically hit pitchers they haven’t faced before, he’ll likely have a very good night. .

The Arlington Rangers are the home team.

You are correct. Bad assumption on my part the Stros were still home standing . Well hopefully Arlington is close enough that many friends, in addition to his family, will be able to be there.

After a quick check of the remaining regular season schedule, what I should have done before my 1st post, the Astros and Rangers have 2 remaining series, both in Arlington. So we won’t see Glenn pitch in Houston this season. Too bad.

Well maybe *I* will see him pitch in Arlington!
First time through the order and no score, just a sharp double from Yourdan off Glenn.
Pitching really well. 2-hit shutout through 4.0 IP, with 5 Ks.
Rangers announcers just talking about how he was a reliever at Rice but the Yankees intended him as a starter when they drafted him.
He is done after five innings. 7 Ks.
He left with a 2-0 lead. Rangers announcers very excited by his showing.
04-cheers Well done, Glenn. Couldn't ask for a better debut.

Um, you can't make this comment without supplying the names of the first three.
And of course this woeful Rangers team blows Otto’s lead. 4-4.

Stros win 5-4 for their 1st win of the season in Arlington. They also secured the Silver Boot with the win tonight.

Great start for Glenn. The Rangers got a good one in that trade with the Yankees!

Otto with another solid start (and no-decision) last night at the LA Angels. He did allow 2 1st-inning runs, but pitched scoreless ball after that. His final line - 4.2 innings, 4 hits, 2 runs (both earned), 1 walk and 4 K's. The Angels (and Ohtani) ended up winning 3-2. Is Rendon done for the year? He hasn't played since May or so? Then again, neither has Trout. Ohtani has carried that team to its .500 record.

Yes, Ant is done for the year. He's rehabbing in Houston.
Glenn’s 2nd start vs the Astros didn’t go nearly as well for him as his MLB debut. He gives up 7 runs in the 4th inning.
