We're only two weeks out from the start of the season, so why not get an early jump on the Pick'em challenge. COGSCOGS

Just as a refresher, you pick the winners and the respective scores for each game. I'll compile a running list each week of the standings. The championship game will get a x6 bonus, and bowl games will get a x2 bonus. The tie breaker will be total games guessed.

Correctly guessing the score of a game will earn a reputation reward.

Last season's winner was UofToledoFans

Cincinnati over Miami
Missouri over Central Michigan
Syracuse over Ohio (If the Bobcats weren't breaking in a new coach, I'd pick them, but alas)

I'm going w/ all the favorites this week. Not usually until Weeks 2-4 the MAC gets an upset & our best teams are facing FCS or top tier P5. I'm not sure what Game of the Week is, I'll say SU vs OU.

I don't do scores. How much do I lose?
Not picking any upsets, except of course Texas A&M being distracted by all of the buzz over the Longhorns coming to join them in the SEC.

Just the satisfaction that comes from the correct guess and the potential for +3 reputation points.

It's just a sub-game within the game.

I don't think we'll see many surprises in week 1.
as was mentioned earlier in the thread there's not a lot of close on paper games. i'm surprised nobody is picking Miami. That's usually a close rivalry game that Miami gets up for a bit more than Cincy. Plus, this year Miami has a good veteran team and I could see them hanging around and having a shot if Martin can make the right in game calls (not his strength). Ga Tech is beatable but NIU hasn't proven much lately, so I'd hold off on that MAC upset pick. OU needs a few breaks vs the 'Cuse who are a more explosive and bigger team, but the gap is not huge. So, breaks and a home crowd could make up the difference. I like Kent's team, but A&M is a beast and the size and talent level should be plenty to make up for a possible energy, cohesion and execution edge for the Flashes. WOuldn't write off CMU either, although I wouldn't pick em. Western often covers the spread in games vs the state's bigs but I can't remember a win.
