Arguably Ireland had to fight a war to get their independence from Britain, but the point on subservient heritage is valid. I have long said that Europe's bravest people got on the boats and risked it to get here, and it now shows on both continents. Only issue is we have started to lose that love of Liberty and need somewhere new for the brave to migrate to.

The problem the left still has is knowing, when they tell the military to shoot, which way will they shoot? That's how military dictatorships happen, the elites tell the military to shoot the people, and the military decides to shoot the elites instead. It's a real problem for the coastal elites right now, which is why there is so much emphasis on re-educating te military.

JR I rarely disagree with you, and I'll even concede that you're probably 99% right on this. However, I truly believe that if the government orders our military to proceed with something that is unconstitutional, they will rise up and protect the citizens. I'm also reminded of a ragtag bunch of farmers that turned the world upside down and destroyed the most powerful military in the world. Gotta have faith. But I hope it never comes to that.

I truly want you to be correct here, but in Sydney it is 600 hundred armed army personnel enforcing the lockdowns against their own people, and not the unarmed police.
Here, our soldiers, as everywhere, obey their superiors, and here everyone with a rank of admiral or general is appointed by Congress, not promoted through the ranks at that grade. So the question is do the grunts tasked with the mission enforce it or rebel? Most of them are people whose best experience in life is the military. Education levels are low, they are trained to suppress resistance, and don't identify with the middle class as they once did.
For these reasons I have profound doubts. Added to that are those who use drones to kill remotely. They don't have to make as visceral of a decision why eyeballing real people.
I'm sincere in hoping you are correct, but these are no longer your boy next door and they come from anything but middle class homes, and only know what they are told, "You are bad, and they are good."
