One of the better produced shows I've seen. Good stuff.

Well thought out and may be spot on.
Oof taking the under on Georgia Southern at +/- 4 wins. That hurts. We would have a new coaching staff next season if that happened.
Taking the under on APP at 9 hurts a little as well. We shall see. 05-mafia
They said our schedule was tough and we probablywont go over 4 wins. Our OOC is Baylor, EMU, UIW, and FIU AND we miss App.....

Not trying to be a downer here, but Texas State will only be favored in one of those matchups. I'd say you probably go 2-2, if not 1-3. Which conference games do you think you'll win?

My main point was that regardless of how we do this season our schedule isnt exactly strong as they claimed.

I expect us at the very least we go 2-2 OOC but wouldnt be surprised if we go 3-1, obviously losing to Baylor and beating the other three. FIU went 0-5 last season suffering the only loss of an FBS team to an FCS team. Granted they did play liberty close. The EMUs went 2-4 last year with one win being over 0-6 NIU and the other being over a solid WMU team. UIW is UIW. Apparently they have a pretty good qb but doubt their defense can stop us.

Then USA, ULM, and GS in conference.

TXST is a perfect trap game for us. An away trip nestled right in between two of our biggest home games of the season

For App State to win the Sun Belt we would have to beat Louisiana at Louisiana, then the very next week beat Coastal (glad that is in Boone), run the table and then beat Louisiana in the Championship game.

Hell of a lot to ask…but looking forward to the opportunity
I agree with those guys.

Coastal will be good, but likely wont reproduce the results from last year. There are really good coaches around this league and they all have a year's worth of tapes on Chadwell. Pressure is on Coastal's players and coaches to do it again. Their young QB wasn't asked much to run their offense, typically making 1 or 2 open reads after play action in a run-heavy scheme (very smart thing to ask from a freshman QB,) which limited risks of turnovers and grew his confidence. If McCall is asked to do more in the expanded playbook, it's only natural that his stats will be worse. Also, being the red target in the conference is a real mental check. Coaches talk about it all the time. We experience every year in basketball when every conference foe play with more intensity/effort/energy not seen in previous game prep tapes. Prediction: 7-8 wins

App should be fine as well. Tons of returning production. Nothing more to say because they're expected to handle success well until proven otherwise. One big worry would be their new starting QB. He was a turnover machine in his previous stops. Can App's staff fix his mental game? Will there be a heavy emphasis on the running game and only ask him to be a game manager? The talent around him should be good enough. Prediction 7-8 wins

Southern is the only team in the East with so many new faces on its roster. Unproven talents led by unproven QB. How good is their depth? Many question marks. They always relied on the stout front 7 on defense and slow-paced offense to keep every game close. Are there enough playmakers to keep that philosophy going? will the new OC create some sort of unpredictable exciting explosive offense or will be much of the same old slow grind fest to play keep away from opposing offenses? Making it to a bowl game should be counted as a win for 2021. Prediction: 5-6 wins

Troy had talents that Brown left behind, like those guys said, but the new coach couldn't do anything with them. Still have a good QB and solid roster this year. Can Lindsey coach to save his job? His struggles have been bizarre so far, albeit the emergence of competitive SBC East made the situation even harder than Brown's tenure in Troy. Prediction: 4-5 wins

Georgia State returns 92% of the starters that went 6-4, with losses of razor thin margins to App, Louisiana, Ark State. Easily could've been a 9-3 or 10-2 win season if not for cancelled "easy" games and the absent DC due the covid-protocol who was needed to make adjustments in close games. 2nd-year QB Quad Brown should be better, the word is that he's a great leader with confidence and swagger, and worked hard to gain weight and study films. He admitted himself that he made too many mistakes in a scheme where QB has the full control to whether pitch, dive, pull, qb sneak, or pass all based on his split second judgement. The talent surrounding him is perhaps the best ever in GSU history. Some really great veteran OLs, RBs, TEs, WRs. The tough schedule doesnt help however, and despite playing better, the record could stay more of the same. @UNC @Auburn @Louisiana @Coastal @Southern + App and Army at home. Prediction: 5-7 wins
That’s a lot of 7 - 8 win teams. Expecting a blood bath in the SBC aren’t you?
i expect many close competitive bloodbath, with some sweat, tears, and drama this year. should be a fun year 04-cheers

I need to rewatch our game from last year. I caught parts of it but a wedding got in the way.

I rewatched our USA game the other day. Almost forgot about the TD the refs gifted to them.
Waste of time, other than a few notes they put togeather in 2 minutes before the show, didn’t have a clue about APP, I’ll give them some credit, they were right about a killer schedule
Looks like homie missed an assignment on our recruiting. He stated we have no high school commitments in the 2021 class but we actually have 2. I'm not sure how many games we will win but we'll definitely be exciting to watch. Here's hoping we turn this sucker around and possibly go above .500

My money is you get beat at CF twice. I don’t have as much faith in the covid chickens as others do, but ya never know. I will say this if it is the Covids and UL I pick UL….main reason being that Cheatswell outcoached Napier last year, and that will not happen again. Ever.

Gosh, that’s generous, even from a teal perspective… I’d disagree, the coaches had little to do with last year’s outcome. Pretty neutral there.

Was more a case of your “star” QB not being able to hit the broad side of a barn when it mattered. Or, your D being more willing to celebrate the few solid stops/hits they had, than routinely actually “stop” our offense.

Fun side note… It’s always the ones who get their panties in a bunch, who are the first to cut loose…
“[Sob, whine, sob] It’s ‘Louisiana’! Get it right! My God, think of the children… We’ve branded ourselves, you guys aren’t being nice.

But please excuse me while I take creative liberties with whatever names of y’all I find funny to myself. Bless your heart.”
The prediction hinges on which of the top tier teams have high vaccination rates.

Alabama players regard the team as a whole unit and they want to win a national championship. They are currently at 94% of players vaccinated. Georgia was at 85% several weeks ago.

Geography is going to play a huge role this year. Florida teams are likely going to have a rough go because of what is happening there right now. If UF, Miami, UCF and FSU have high player vaccination rates and good luck then they have the possibility of normalcy and therefore normal game prediction analysis.

The Belt Championship game will feature two teams that have pretty high vaccination rates especially of the key players.

I agree about the coaches, and that we were without a bunch of starters due to COVID. I can't say that it definitely would have made a difference, but having the extra depth surely would have helped against your offense.
