The P5 could turn into the P4. If Texas and OU move to the SEC we could see four 16 team power conferences.
Let the AAC bidding begin

Doubt it. The rest of the Big 12 will fill the other P5 confidence. The Big 12 will be gone.

Realistically I see Houston and SMU leaving the AAC
AAC calling up ODU and Marshall do to location
USM bolting the Belt

Wild card for a call up would be Rice as well. Has history from the SWC days. Realignment is gonna get real interesting.

Reason I see them poaching CUSA, is because I think a lot of school want out of that conference.
To much politics in Oklahoma. Oklahoma ain’t coming without OSU

IMO if AAC only loses 2 of Houston, Cincy, Memphis, UCF anyone called up should go immediately. If AAC loses all 4 i'd want our AD to take a long think about taking that AAC invite(in the event App would get one).

the AAC sans those 4 teams is going to get coosa'd ASAP by ESPN.

You're looking at a year or two of nice payouts and then it'll go down to ~SBC levels.

I think UAB is 1st on the list for AAC if htey lose members, afterwords, who knows.
The Big 12 could easily become a G5 or make that a G6 conference

ODU?!? Lol.

Their program is in free fall.

To be fair almost all of the programs not named Marshall, UAB, and USM are in a death spiral over there. Just throw a dart on the map. Close to Temple and have some basketball. No matter who you pick AAC gets worse. SBC might really shoot up the totem pole.
Hang on to your conference standings, it might get a little bumpy.....

03-nutkick for some of us

02-13-banana For the rest of us

03-weeping For a lot of current Big 12 teams
Looks like it's gonna happen. I hope we don't wait to see what happens with the B12/AAC and go ham and try and get UAB, USM, Marshall, and either UNCC/ODU. That's enough boost in both FB and BB to get the media deal reworked to make up for the extra schools. Figure out the non FB schools later.
Texas and Oklahoma aren't going anywhere for a few years. Way too many obstacles.

Reliable sources say both Texas and OU plan to notify Big 12 within a couple weeks. Sources also say this is farther along than anyone thinks. This has been in the works for a while. You know it's true when Oklahoma St AD starts an investigation and is putting together a team to fight it.
Sources also saying Notre Dame to ACC in all sports is gonna happen. That puts the ACC at 15. My bet is WVU will be the 16th.

That makes sense. The Big 12 is finished. This will start a chain reaction to get the 4 16 team super conferences that have been talked about for a long while.

What will happen to the rest of us? If it turns into a scenario that the Big 12 survives by adding UCF, Houston, Memphis, and Cincy then I hope everyone from the SBC and CUSA doesn’t fall over themselves trying to backfill those teams in the AAC.
Who cares? It will be the same teams fighting for crumbs just like always, despite the conference they're aligned with. I hate to see the current Sun Belt have upheaval. We've got a good thing going here.

If SEC and ACC go to 16, so will PAC 12 and B1G. So OkSt will go B1G, BYU to PAC12, and a few others will fill the holes.

This could be the time TxSt does head west, will the Big 12 swallow the AAC or will the AAC swallow the Big 12??? If the Big 12 attacks, could leave some interesting AAC teams available, why look at UNCC when ECU May be available??? Just an idea.

I like the current SBC set up but also know playing Houston or Tulane yearly will put way more butts in the seats in Football and Baseball.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma St are not a package deal. That is a myth made up by fans.
