On a wvu podcast, former mountaineer coach Don Nehlen recalled he and Va Tech coach Frank Beamer having a sit down with former BE commish Mike Tranghese. Nehlen said he and Beamer explained the need for expanding the football league but we’re blown off by the conference powers. Its just a shame how things played out for the Lambert trophy schools. It would have been a really fun league.
