Just Curious. Today Tuesday , First home game Sat.
I’m a 30 yr season ticket holder. I’ve received
nothing in the way of tickets , email , or info how
to get inside Dix on Sat.

Anybody else have this issue. ??
I received a envelop from the Golden Flash Club with detailed instructs how to download digital tickets from the KSU athletic web site. I assume that since all seat are Gen. Admission, specific seats are not sold. You can download to your smart phone or to a PDF file and print out. It is all about saving money I am sure. It is the same way you are buying theater tickets today. Even for an old fart like me, I think it is kind of neat.

My friend just got his packet today
What a Mickey Mouse organization Kent State has become. From the top down. Regardless of who’s in charge.

Sorry Older. A loyal fan like you deserves better.

Thanks. It is pitiful to say the least. Finally received an email with info
Friday after several calls to KSU.

Also hearing that longtime KSU PA announcer Jeff Kurtz will not be behind
the Mic Sat or for any football or basketball games.
Jeff as many know is simply the best in the business and Kent was lucky
to have him.
Our Kent State “leaders” Do not appreciate history and tradition and this
Is driving many old timers ( with money to donate) to look elsewhere to make contributions.

Kent has really lost it if they think loyal fans will tolerate the loss of quality people like Jeff who are nationally respected.

Shame on Kent State for this abomination.
I must admit, I actually laugh out loud when I receive literature in the mail from KSU soliciting donations. That place has a long way to go before it sees one cent of my money.

I laugh out loud even harder when I continually see “Flashes Take Care of Flashes,” the grossest lie ever forced on the KSU community.
Well that was fun. Pretty good crowd. All around good game other than some penalties. A couple thoughts on offense, I'm not worried about our ability to throw the deep ball. Crum is still putting those on the money. I'm worried about our ability to catch the deep ball. Also, with our stable of backs and Johnson as an end around option, I'd really like to see us work some shovel passes into the offense. Sort of how KC uses Hill.

As for defense, yet to see MAC level competition, but the D looks a lot better. Two games in and we have two DBs with 3 ints.
It's good for KSU to have a team that can handily beat an FCS team. So many times over the decades the team would lose those kind of games, or just barely win ugly. Toledo is up by two at the half against Notre Dame. I wonder if Toledo is that strong, or if 8th ranked Notre Dame is overrated, as they often are, or a little of both. Of course, the 2nd half could be an entirely different story, like at Texas A&M last week.

Your right about winning handily against an FCS team. These are the type of games where style points DO count. We did well today.

Ironic, I was going to write an overall review of the fan experience and then I read your reveal that Jeff was not doing P A. Who ever did it today, does not have the pipes for the job. I had difficulty understanding what was being said and I assumed the P A system was not adjusted properly. You are correct that Jeff is the best. I am so sorry to hear that he has been replaced.
Random thoughts.
The band is very much improved over previous years. Enjoyed the pre game and half time performance.

The student participation was the best in years. Great to see the section full.

Our team is talented and well coached. We did have too many penalties and some were uncalled for.

Overall, the fan experience was almost good. It was better but we have a way to go.

I like Jeff, but WTH are you talking about, "nationally respected"?
He means Jeff is nationally respected.

As evidenced by the numerous honors he has received from prestigious organizations and halls of fame.

Thanks Jim. We are on the same page.
Time to play the next top ten ranked team. As anyone else played two of these teams in three games?

Well said Jim, It is chilling how inept they are at Friend-raising. Coaches and Students appreciative and always friendly. Nothing has changed with new admin , just as aloof and arrogant as previous.

Our plans are changing, KSU will not be part of our future giving.
Flashes take care of Flashes indeed. Total B.S.
Looks like 22 point dogs against the Hawkeyes. down from the 29 point spread from the first game against A&M.

Iowa will enter game #5 which is actually higher than the Aggies were ranked. I wonder what the Vegas world is seeing. Any thoughts?

They see a Kent State team off a 50 point win. They see an Iowa team with a potential let-down from their biggest emotional game of the season. And point spreads aren't about how many points they think a team will win by. They are set at the number they believe to be the best number to generate an equal dollar volume of bets on both teams.
KentKrazy, I read somewhere a week or so ago that Kent State had the strongest non-conference schedule in the nation.
