Agreed, I like the food in Memphis but hell I visit New Orleans several times a year just to go eat there.

Many years ago when I went to Memphis State, I was meeting a buddy for lunch after he got out of class. I showed up as his class was letting out and found him chatting with the professor. This went on for a few minutes and I guess I was looking impatient because the prof said to my buddy, "I think your friend is waiting for you to leave." Then he looked at me and said "Where are you guys going?" I said "we're going to get something good to eat." He replied "Really? What time does your plane leave?"

UAB #18? I assume that there were only 17 teams to chose from, unless the writer loves the green Legion Field hot dogs

I was just about to post this. Having just come back last night from eating my way through New Orleans for the past 8 days, it's quite difficult to imagine any city topping it. And that's certainly not to disparage Memphis BBQ, which is the absolute best in my book.

Memphis has equally good food but there is a lot more of the good food in New Orleans. but mostly list like these are mostly worthless other than click bait.

You don't know the right places to go in Birmingham, apparently. There is plenty of good chow in the ham, IMO.

Depends on what you like and are used to...
