Jans will be more than likely looking for a new assistant coach.

As a Aggie fan does this make you guys nervous that NMSU is now somehow connected to this guy and his tactics going forward?

No! It's irrelevant.

You have all the confidence without a shadow of a doubt that a guy who the FBI has linked to a bribery scandal in the last year has changed his stripes while at NMSU? Interesting.
Yes I am so nervous. Omg. Omg. Omg. I’m literally peeing down my leg right now. My nails are completely bitten off. I’m probably not gonna sleep tonight. I shall commence to the tearing of the clothes and gnashing of the teeth.

NMSU knew about all of this and the potential for infractions against Barker when they hired him. There was a lot of discussion about this on Aggie Alert when Barker was hired. This is not a surprise.

What they don't report...

Per LCSN....

"Barker reportedly received a $6,000 “bribe” in July 2017 to steer certain players to former agent Christian Dawkins’ sports agency. The money exchange between Barker and Dawkins was secretly recorded at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, a luxury resort casino and hotel."

"Dawkins later testified in May that Barker returned the money to him within days of the meeting, and bank statements of cash deposits made in Las Vegas ATMs confirmed that."

"Dawkins was convicted of bribery conspiracy. "Barker was never charged with a crime." He did, however, lose his job at TCU after refusing to cooperate with the university’s internal investigation. Barker was on administrative leave at the time."

"Following his termination at TCU, Barker cooperated with NCAA enforcement staff investigation, but during an interview, "claimed he did not accept a payment or enter into an agreement with the company, and he also claimed he did not facilitate or arrange meetings with student-athletes.""

Jans simply gave his former Bowling Green assistant a job on his Aggie staff to getting him back on a path to redemption; the way Gregg Marshall helped Jans out with a job after his firing at Bowling Green.
I agree the look is not the best, but I hope it is as NMSUPistolPete explained it.

They player in question was Fisher and Fisher wasn't interested in the cash supposedly. Barker still gets 5 years for taking the money. I find this entire thing interesting.

"Interesting" as in a good way to throw dirt on our program. No prob. I would do the same with your still for profit school if I saw the opportunity.
Corey Barker was an exceptional recruiter. I hope Jans will find someone equivalently as good; or at least up and coming recruiter who has no life but to pound the pavement and beat the bushes for good recruits.

Does increased regulation and scrutiny of for profit higher ed companies under Bidens DOE make LOPE fans nervous?

Does you worry about your prez and his connection to multiple fraud investigations while running the "University" of Phoenix?

As a LOPE fan, are you worried about all the lawsuits GCU faces annually from its customers?

You and your loaded questions.

Barker was at NMSU for a year, if that. Who were some of his recruits?
Bring in Brandon Mason for recruiting. He has been busting his ass networking.
