Looks like CUSA is keeping the East/West divisions based on UTSA's conference schedule release.

Rice @ North Texas, Sept. 25-26.
Rice vs UTEP, Oct. 2-3.
Rice @ LA Tech, Oct. 15-16.
Rice vs Southern Miss, Oct. 22-23.
Rice @ UAB, Oct. 29-30.
Rice vs UTSA, Nov. 5-6.

Only other match I've seen is Rice hosting HBU on Sept. 7.

So the back-to-back games are going to be played on Friday and Saturday this time round, instead of the Sunday and Monday schedule used this past Spring? At least we're home during Homecoming Weekend.

Whoops. Misread it. Thanks for the correction.
Rice @ Baylor, Sept. 16.
Rice looks to avenge the 5 set loss from the past season.
LSU, Sam Houston at Rice in ‘21

Friday and Saturday, September 10th and 11th. Same weekend as our football home opener against UH. Given the 5:30pm kickoff time on Saturday, I would hope we move the volleyball game against SHS up to a 1:00pm or 2:00pm start (from the currently scheduled 3:00pm start), so that fans can go from Tudor to HRS in time for pre-game festivities.

Edit: May have misread the agreement. Is LSU playing Sam on that Saturday or are we?

We're hosting a weekend tournament. LSU plays us on Friday evening and SHSU on Saturday afternoon. We don't know when Rice plays SHSU.

E: But then our return leg to Baton Rouge in 2022 will also be part of a so-far undefined tournament weekend.
Another Rice tournament will be Sept. 3-4 and will include Oregon and SMU. Oregon will be a preseason Top 15 team. Without Adekunle, Rice lost 2 matches vs SMU.
Sorry, Walt. Stanford released their schedule and Rice wasn't on it.

Well, Oregon is a good substitute. In fact, Oregon will probably start the season ranked higher than Stanford. We might be, as well.

Geez, no one plays a tougher OOC schedule than Stanford, and the Pac12 and Big10 are the preeminent volleyball conferences....

Sounds like we're going to have at least 3 matches the week of September 6th. We already know we have HBU on Tuesday, September 7 and LSU on Friday, September 10, with Sam Houston State likely on that Thursday (since they play LSU at Rice on Saturday of that week. And we have our home opener in football vs. UH on Saturday. I guess I'll have to be in Houston that week.

Yup, was mentioned in first post.
I feel fairly certain we will see a match at Tudor against UT in late September.
Rice is heading to the Carolina Classic to start the season.

Matches against South Carolina, Washington State, and Pittsburgh. Early season opportunities to make some noise.

Appears we finally have an OOC schedule befitting our likely Top 20 preseason ranking. Now, we simply have to win at least 50% of those matches against Top 25 opponents. Great job by Stacy and Genny setting up the schedule.
Its always easy to schedule bettrr competition when you win especially if you are top 25 team.

Nicole Lennon earns 1st team Academic All-American honors. In the end of the release, it confirms what Walt has been saying for some time now - that Nicole is coming back for a 5th year. She's 2nd among all NCAA players in career kills and attempts.
Sam Houston released their schedule and it has Rice at 1pm on Sept. 12.
