$2 million a year salary and another $900k for assistants.

I think puts him 4th highest paid in G5
Nice pay bump.
Does this mean the players still get paid the same? Or did they get a bump as well? (jking)

Seriously though

Epic Applause

He's proven he's worth it.

Word is our AD is getting the last pay bump, sorry players.
So what about those massive deficits UL has reported the past two years???

Coach Niumatalolo listed here at $2.316 million, along with four other AAC coaches over $2 million.

Sorry the internet is so hard for you.

Honestly, you should be happier about the $900k for assistants. That's the real good news, and impressive.

Have a great week!

It’s always great when pure unbridled envy presents itself.

In 2007, Nick Saban was hired at Alabama as the highest paid coach in college football. He was making $4mil a year. Now Napier is in at $2mil a year and is 4th among G5 coaches. How the salaries have grown over the years is crazy. Good job Louisiana at showing your appreciation to a guy that could be taking y’all somewhere big this year.

Hope this helps him stick around an extra year or two. 04-cheers

I dont have any issues with top performs earning huge money, its when average and poor performers start making big money just for being associated with huge money earners. Thats when the system gets crazy to me. I just prefer everyone to earn what they get.

As for being the 4th highest paid in the G5, that wasn't accurate, its more like 6th or 7th, highest in the G5 but who is really ranking that kind of stuff?? oh, everybody who likes for perception to be reality.

if he was picky before, while making 1 million or less, he will continue to be picky with his next job selection. Of note for me, was that his buyouts get cut in half if the AD were to leave his position. Who Napier works for is important to him.

Anyone have a picture from Thanksgiving with the teenager sitting at the small kids table, that's all I can think about when I read AACers posts.

That was my fault, that’s why I said “I think” puts him 4th...I guess I should have spent my entire day doing research...not really directed at you but the more the douchebag who is so above our conference he feels the need to lurk on our board. Either way puts him in top 10 of G5 and I think I read 65th in the country which is pretty cool considering there are 64 (65 if you count Norte Dame)P5’s who have built in monster tv contracts.

Buyout won’t matter. When Saban retires and Bama comes calling, money will be no object. I believe at this point, it may be Napier’s job to lose. He hold serve at Louisiana for a couple more years, wins the conference, plays in access bowl, he’ll be headed to Tuscaloosa before long.

Bless your heart.......

Bama is not going from the greatest coach of all time to a G5 coach no matter who he is or how many seasons he spent there as a WR coach a decade earlier.

Hey....do ya think Nick will have any say in who replaces him? I'll wait for your reply before I add some facts that I doubt you know. Cool?
