This question is for the fans of "holdover" or "legacy" Sun Belt football programs who have been playing football in the conference for more than a decade, namely fans of Louisiana, ULM, Arkansas State, and Troy.

Which former football conference mate(s) would you be happy to see appear on your non-conference schedule?

Idaho
Utah State
New Mexico State
North Texas
WKU
MTSU
FAU
FIU

MTSU and maybe FAU. Don't care about the rest.
None of them!!!!!
I wouldn't mind New Mexico State. If they came to us. The rest, meh.
North Texas for me, was a good rivalry for us
Yeah, UNT was a decent rivalry going back to the Southland and easy drive. Others, meh, for me too. Like the new SBC WAYYY better.
I enjoyed MTSU & NT in football & WKU in basketball.

THIS!

No need to slum it when we have quality opponents in the Belt and a host of quality opponents out of conference that we can arrange games with.
The only ex Sun Belt team I dont mind playing is NMSU. They were very respectful. NT, MTSU, WKU and the Florida schools always thought they were better than they were. They laughed when we added GS and App. GS and App are better than all 5 of them combined. The Belt is 10 times stronger today. Those team were the ones holding us back and now they are killing CUSA.

Yeah, I don't really have any pressing desire to play any of them. I just hate that we lost our last two conference games against WKU before they left, so, I guess that's who I'd pick, to get back at them. We dominated UNT and MTSU before they left, but unfortunately lost to MTSU in a bowl game a few years ago. We did beat FIU in a bowl game in 2019.
WKU plays TROY in Bowling Green (2022), at Troy (2023).
WKU is the only SB -> CUSA move that I was sad to see happen during the move up from 1-aa. They were definitely the best overall athletic department to leave the Belt.
Idaho-Kibbie Dome. Only thing I miss playing the Vandals.
Utah State-I would be intrigued with a match up now that blake is there (and I remember how chippy our home and home series was when we played a few years ago).
New Mexico State-I dunno why but I always liked playing the aggies and was one of the few that wouldn’t have minded having them in the league full time.
North Texas-Thoroughly enjoyed playing The Mean Green (Dallas is always a fun place to visit).
WKU-This was on the verge of being a rivalry the way the last few games between these teams with
MTSU-Murfreesboro was a pretty easy road trip to make from Jonesboogie and felt this could’ve turned towards a nice conference rivalry series as well.
FAU&FIU-Liked the idea of playing in florida for recruiting purposes but that was about it (I liked FAU’s stadium though great venue)

Funny they were the ones picked last.
I'm okay with WKU or MTSU because they are good regional home and homes. The rest...nah
I know this was directed at the old guard members but personally I was hopeful Western Kentucky would stay at the time we got the invite. Now a few years later I think they would have been a good member to keep but not at the cost of any of the teams added to the conference. The 10 football schools for most part seem committed to moving up the FBS ladder and I'm happy we are associated with all of you guys.
MTSU, the Battle for the Palladium!!!
I’d like to see Troy, Arkansas St and Louisiana in that order.
Don't want to ever play WKU or MTSU . . . unnecessarily cocky . . . UNT hasn't beaten stAte in a long time . . . NMSU and Utah State are fine with me.
In order:
WKU
MT
Utah St.
FAU
FIU
NT
NMST
Idaho
