IIRC, the ship was in for refitting so it would not have had the normal compliment of firefighters aboard.

A carrier being escorted by a friggin LCS? Hard to tell for sure---but Im not sure that LCS is even fitted with the Naval Strike Missiles. If not---it almost couldn't be a more worthless escort vessel.

The new ones are $3.8 billion.

The USA military in general--and the Navy in particular--need to get one message loud and clear. Their number one priority is warfighting. To the extent that things like diversity, equality, and combatting climate change are important and useful goals, they are to be pursued on a not-to-interfere basis with warfighting and preparedness.

Their job is to fight--and win--wars, not to lose them like in Afghanistan. Until they get that right, nothing else matters.

They weren't traitors. They were fighting for their homes and their state. To call them traitors is like calling the people living in the community of Buckhead traitors because they want to leave Atlanta and form their own city since Atlanta is no longer serving their needs.

I think they had 5 Arleigh Burke’s with them. I didn’t see a cruiser listed so they may have a DDG as a captains billet filling the role. LCS is probably just there for the sea time.

When they were in Hawaii two months ago they had 5 DDGs. 1 CG, one DDG, and 1 LCS seems a little light, hope they have a lot of underwater friends.

I always thought the traditional definition of a CSG was one guided missile cruiser, 2 guided missile destroyers, and two destroyers / frigates doing ASW.

Couple of weeks ago many swore China was going to invade Taiwan. It’s like some have never lived through the Cold War.
