Couldn’t find a recruiting page for him, but EMCC is normally one of the best NJCAA teams in the country.
I wonder what this says about our QB room that the coaches feel the need to bring in a juco QB to put in the mix in 22?
In 22 Hopkins will be a senior and Lucero a junior right?
Hop is injury prone. If He and Lucero were to go down in 2022, then you are stuck shoving a redshirt freshman out there like last season.

Really could use him this season, too.

I was surprised. I know what you are referencing, was beginning to think we’re totally against recruiting those QBs. Been some good ones we ignored.

Might play QB, Just thinking of our track record and his light frame, speed, athleticism - like a WR(after a year or two training for position). Not being listed on any recruiting sites also makes me wonder about a position change. As usual, I'll trust the coaches. Could be an exiting QB, though.

Dude's got a cannon strapped to his shoulder! He also throws with accuracy even while throwing on the run.
His team won state title his senior season of high school, I think. His high school highlights are exciting.

Oak Grove actually lost to Oxford in the state finals in Stewart's senior year (2019). Oak Grove won the title last season.
I'm excited about this commitment. He brings a true dual threat element and shiftiness to the position. Since EMCC didn't play last year, I would assume that Stewart will have four years to play three after this season. I would love to go watch him play this fall at EMCC. I've also heard they are thinking about bringing in a HS QB in this class.

How do you know who was ignored?
UAB was among the first to offer Thompson's Conner Harrell, c/o 2022. Brother Kyle is on the UAB team now.

He's now blown up as a prospect with lots of p5 offers, including Nebraska and Michigan.

If we can put 20 pounds on him and teach him to go through reads he could be special. He can already make a lot of the throws and is a nightmare in the open field

Sorry for the confusion. I meant the 2022 class. I assume that Stewart is coming in the 2022 class.

We haven’t been linked to heavily recruiting a black QB in damn near a decade, especially not in this era. Can probably go back to Taz Wilson who was signed by McGee in Nov ‘13. Then we haven’t been linked to any instate QBs since spring 2016.

The fact that a recruit shows no interest does not mean we ignored him. But nice to see you are now saying our coaches are racist.
UAB offered Harrell noted above. But go on...

Racist, no. Allergic to good offense, yes.
