He might have a chance to unseat Ken Paxton. It's probably going to be an expensive primary - at least by attorney general standards.

I will be interested to see if he continues to forge a path to the Trump vote or if he now becomes more moderate.

The only way he does this is if Paxton is damaged goods. And, yes, he is.
Im gonna wait and see what shakes out; Paxton has an unearthly amount of backing notwithstanding his travails.
And honestly, the Bush name is a negative, maybe more so in Texas. I can truthfully say that a Bush family-ista is a negative with me. Had I not had some interactions with George P, I dont think I would consider a vote for him right off the bat.
But, his handling of his current office has been very well executed. Maybe enough to get over my inertia of voting for a dynasty name/family. But there is that inertia and I know I am not the only one with it.[/i]
