Figured I'd set up this thread as a placeholder thread for our first CAA Tournament game, scheduled for Thursday at 7 PM.

Once we know who we're facing (we'll know by about 7 PM or so tonight, once the # 3 Elon - # 6 W&M game wraps up), I'll edit the thread title and this first post accordingly.
We now know who we are facing tomorrow @ 7: # 3-seed Elon. They used their Friday starter, Brian Edgington, in order to get past W&M.

W&M and Towson open the day at 11 AM with an elimination game, followed by NU-Charleston at 3. We finish the day against Elon at 7.

Go Hawks!
Savino has been good for Elon . Hawks need to come out focused.

Excellent write up by Brant as always.

The first 2 games of the day are out of the way and well in time for our game to start on time.

Correct, 7 PM start!
Elon will be throwing their # 2/Saturday starter, redshirt freshman righty Joe Savino.

This will be his 9th start. He's 0-2 with a 3.27 ERA, .248 BAA, and 1.11 WHIP, with 62 K's in 52.1 innings. He's only walked 8 batters all season.

But even though Savino has been highly effective, the tradeoff is he doesn't go very deep into games. His longest outing has been 6.1 innings this season. So the key will be to have long AB's and get him out of there as soon as possible.
Our lineup tonight in support of Roupp:

1. Baldwin RF
2. Marsh LF
3. Suggs C
4. Weiss 3B
5. Lifrieri DH
6. Bridges CF
7. Brandenburg 1B
8. Croom 2B
9. Mongero SS
Good luck Seahawk nation against Elon!
3 quick ground ball outs and the Hawks are up to bat in the bottom of the 1st, no score!
The Seahawks go down in order as well. Still no score, top 2nd.
Another 1-2-3 inning for Roupp.

Bottom 2nd, 0-0.
Leadoff single for Weiss up the middle. Let's goooooo!
We got 2 hits in the inning but couldn't bring anyone across.

Still no score in the 3rd.
9 up, 9 down for Roupp! 3 K's included in those 9 outs.

Still no score, bottom 3rd. Mongero then top of the order due up.
Gotta give Roupp some run support.

12 up, 12 down for Roupp!

In the bottom of the 4th, Suggs leads off with a walk, Weiss gets an infield single on a SAC bunt, and Suggs moves to 3rd on an E3.

1st & 3rd, none out for Lifrieri!
Double play but a run scores. 1-0 Hawks.
Bridges singles to keep the inning going. Gotta be a steal attempt coming here with 2 down.
