7-3. It was not on ESPN+ as previously thought. Therefore, it is hard to know exactly how things went down. But the Trojans had Arnold on the mound through 5 innings and he was, according to the stats, pitching his normal great game. He was pulled, why?

He was then replaced by a middle reliever who did well and got Little Rock to the eighth inning with a 7-0 lead. Then, for reasons above my grasp, that pitcher was replaced by a reliever who tried his best to give the game away with a hit batsman, wild pitch, and a home run. By the time we got to the ninth inning it was 7-3.

So in comes Barkley to save the day again, and he does. But one has to really head scratch over the use of pitchers in this one.

In any event though, we got the win in what is the decisive series of the regular season!

So, we go down in game two at Georgia State. Louisiana beats Troy in their game two. And ULM beats ASU in their game two. That leaves Little Rock one game behind Louisiana, and one game ahead of ULM and Arkansas State with one to play. UTA is up two on the Trojans, so winning the division is out. Big games tomorrow all around to determine seeding in the SBC Tournament.

Game 3 @ Ga State starting out very shaky. Trojans pitcher didn’t even last an inning and had to be pulled in the first after allowing Ga State 6 runs!

It had been listed as being on ESPN+ prior to the series starting, then that listing disappeared a day or so before the series started. But, maybe for the best for us fans as the Trojans limped to the finish line of the regular season, after starting conference play with such promise.

Maybe they can pick it back up in the SBC Tournament, otherwise, it will just be more same ole same ole of Little Rock baseball.
Yep, PTJR. We've been watching it for decades.
