His defense absolutely sucks. He'll hit two threes in a row then miss his next 5. He thinks he's a foot taller than he is. We loose a 6-6 guard who lead the Big South in scoring ... And pick up a 5-8 dud. Sorry, but that's a bad tradeoff. Lawson for Cisse ain't too great either ... But Harris for Warren .... Ouchhhhh !!

There was no "trade" of Harris for Warren... Tyler is not even taking up a scholarship but keep to your fact devoid narrative...

Warren’s decommitment has nothing to do with Tyler Harris. Don’t know why anyone would think it is.

The likelihood that the Lawsons affected Warren due to possible playing time won’t stop the bashing of Memphis kids for maybe seeking...more playing time

Even when in the case of Harris that doesn’t seem to be the case at all

It seems to be the case of a Memphis kid wanting to try something different then recognizing he wants to be part of...Memphis, and coming home

I’ll celebrate that

Yep.

So you think Lomax and Harris our there at the same time is a great option? Please don’t tell me it won’t happen again. I thought surely Penny wouldn’t play them together much the first time around, but he did.

It's like finding a home for wayward Memphis kids is now the priority over putting together a winning program that was an elite PG & a competent big away from a potential final four.

IF any of the players that have chosen to play for the university read this, they will be amazed that some of our fans are bozos who won't watch games when we aren't playing well in the first half, want to kick Dandridge off of the team for going 2-7 from the field in a game, and that someone with a grade 3 level reading comprehension, is calling them wayward.

The more years removed the school gets from bozos graduating and not screwing up the stats, the higher it will go in the rankings.
shrug. One of the reasons people jumped to the Tyler takes Davion's scholley conclusion is because of the timing. Davion leaves and Tyler joins simultaneously.

People have simple minds when it comes to cause and effect, especially if it fits their agendas.

But then Moussa said buh-bye, thereby opening a new scholly; people couldn't quite continue that simple cause and effect reasoning.

A mind that can't separate itself from emotion can be a turrible tool...lol

not to mention heartless, embarrassing and inaccurate.

Kids that go elsewhere then come back are the definition of wayward. Use all the adjectives your want but inaccurate isn't one of them, other than your connotation.

Jonathan and Chandler were at Memphis; left and came back?

maybe Tyler is a PG now

I'm glad he's back , especially since CPH has finally got a grip on how and when to play certain players in different offences and defenses. If this team plays to it's potential we can make a deep run next season , so come on back Moussa , let's win a better championship07-coffee3 .....................Welcome back Tyler !!!!!.

Is he your weakest defender? Probably but we were top 5 in defense during his last year with the team while he averaged 20 min a game.
So is his defense that much of a detriment? The numbers say no.

He's a streaky shooter that defenses will pay attention to. Every defense we face will guard him closely on the floor no matter where he is. Why? Because he may have been 1-6 from 3 the game before but could be 5-8 the next.

It seemed Warren was a good addition but we have no idea what he would have been.

With an 85%. So there’s that.

Not to be a Debbie downer, but I doubt he gets to the line that much staying on the perimeter bombing 3s.

If Harris is getting mins & shooting 3s, we will have regressed in the coming season. That said, Harris will probably make as many FTs as Cisse did last season if he only shoots 1-2 a game.

If we're down to the last couple of minutes and the other team has to foul , Tyler , Lester , Alex , Landers, and possibly Williams might not be a bad 5 to have on the floor .JMO

Tyler is a good defender...Not sure why people say he was not a good defender.

More of a + for the team on defense than he was for the team on offense.

His struggled as a freshman. But he clearly put in a lot of work and was a much improved defender his sophomore year. He caused a lot of disruptions defensively.
I am grateful, pleased and relieved to have Tyler back. He is one of the few players capable of changing the direction when it's going south.

Few players can actually do that. But it's just an innate gift Tyler has.

"Penny Hardaway currently has 11 players on scholarship: the Lawsons, Alex Lomax, Landers Nolley II, Lester Quinones, DeAndre Williams, Malcolm Dandridge, Earl Timberlake, Josh Minott, John Camden and Sam Onu. Harris, who spent last season at Iowa State after beginning his career at Memphis, joins Jayden Hardaway and Connor Glennon as a walk-on."

Actually, it was Jason Munz, the beat writer.

Oops - I saw it on Mark's Twitter feed and didn't check the byline in the article. Thanks for the correction.

There it goes.. That settles the case, Tyler is a walk-on!.. so Penny still got 2 more schollys to use.. Get that elite PG!!!
Might be the best group of walk-ons in college basketball this year.

I don't know why a Southern Miss fan is posting on a Memphis board either so go figure ...07-coffee3

the "conference foe" fan is commonly used by banned posters, presumably to avoid suspicion.
