Let’s all hope the kid pulls through. Terrible tragedy.
Horrible.

I read that he is now in serious condition. Hope he pulls through OK.

Quote:MT. PLEASANT, Mich. — 1 p.m. update as of Sunday, April 25: According to the Isabella County Sheriff's Office, both Central Michigan University (CMU) students shot early Saturday morning are still in the hospital.

One of the victims has been upgraded from critical to serious condition.

The 20-year-old, who was not directly named by the Sheriff's Office but was first reported to be CMU quarterback John Keller by Central Michigan Life, is still in serious condition but is improving according to his family.

Not that it makes a difference, but apparently he sat out last season.
Update: They have arrested a suspect. https://www.fox17online.com/news/local-n...u-shooting

I think he had to because he was transferring (from Cincy?). Most felt he would be their started in 2021.
He has recovered and hes been released from the hospital!
^ That is good, don't want to see something like that happen to anybody - athlete or not - even at Mt. Pee.

This is really good news. Glad to hear he survived!
Thanks, guys. Damn shame that what used to be a fistfight, maybe, after an argument at a party has turned into this. The guy was from out of town, of course, but still.

I believe the perpetrator who shot the EMU player several years ago was also from "out of town"
CMU would have been dominant if he stayed healthy.

No…I don’t think so. Really glad the kid pulled through and is doing well but I don’t believe he was ever considered to be in the mix for their starting QB position. It was Sirmon or Richardson all the way.

Wasn't the guy a walk-on?

Cincy transfer

I think he was a walk on at Cincy and transferred to CMU. No way he’d have beaten out Desmond Ritter at Cincy or the Cincy backup to Ritter that transferred to EMU.

He had to be better than the pile of dog crap they had at QB this year. I'm glad he's recovering.
