Added AJ Merriweather (who is no longer a Globetrtotter)
and Justin Touyo.. I mean he is a good player but seems like
that could have found one more Buc to come play.
Hugley lays it out:

Bucketneers gearing it up

Don't know how they'll fare, but that's some serious dude-age right there.

Also Mike Smith and HMP are out, added two more non Bucs.
Excited to watch them play, I hope they do well!
Putting this one on the calendar! The emeritus Bucs look kinda buff
Open practice tomorrow night (or "tonight" for those of you who aren't still up):

Funny to see Tuoyo in an ETSU uni (pic 3). Is that Greg Dennis in the background of pic 5? Pigram sure looks like he's, uh, "filled out" a bit.
Been watching bits and pieces of these games today. I like the concept and looking forward to seeing our guys play, but the basketball is pretty terrible. Nobody can make a 3ptr or outside shot, no defense, tons of turnovers. But that is to be expected I guess with limited practice and no time to get any chemistry. I expect play to get better as these teams advance. I do like the Elem ending, but only for this type of event.
Super excited to see these guys out there together. Don't forget...the game is on the flagship.....ESPN at noon.
This is so cool. Never thought I’d get to see these guys team up again.
A total butt kicking. I think we have some chemistry. Long way to go, but if we continue to shoot like that, these guys will get paid!
Great job!
I couldn't get this game on either SlingTV or on the ESPN app.
SlingTV had the icon for the game but when I clicked on it I saw a F1 race.
ESPN app had the icon for the game, but when I clicked on it I saw a message saying game has not started yet (it was 12:30PM at the time).

Any ideas?
I hope they can do it! These fine men would do good with the $...esp. that AJ Merriweather chap, I am certain.
This was so great to watch, enjoyed it a lot! The team they have put together has a chance to go far in this tournament.

Next game, Monday July 19th, 2pm est

I think it was just a matter of bad timing on your part? Because that F1 race went long, they switched it over to The Deuce. ESPN/Disney overlords should *definitely* tell fans that. And a lot of the times they do, but not today.

It was a good game - or better if one is an ETSU fan. Team "War Ready" wasn't......uh.......ready.

Who looked great: Boyd, Tuoyo, Glass, A.J. on D, (Hugley)
Who looked good: Bradford, Banks, Hudson
Who looked...uh...not ready for prime time: Cromer, Pigram

The key to this game, obviously, was the deep stroking. With a big assist to 'our' smoothering D. As we've said a few dozen times on this board in years past............you live by the 3.......you die by the 3. Bucketneers were fortunate Auburn didn't pressure them on the ball much, until late in the game. Conversely........ETSU's on-the-ball pressure, for the most part, was game-ready - and that, really, was what kept Auburn from operating like they wanted to.

Who had money on Justin Tuoyo hitting more 3s than Cromer, Pigram, and Bradford *combined*?? (And as we all know.............he's what the real Bucs need - a big who can shoot the 3. 03-lmfao)

Pigram really looked out of place, almost. I don't want to say out of playing shape, but I wondered...
Cromer looked in playing shape, but wasn't making the best decisions, shot-selection or otherwise.
Altho Bradford didn't shoot well, he ran the point just fine, and collected 7 dishes.
Was great to see the guys enjoying themselves. Too bad Mike Smith couldn't have also been on the team.

[Boyd even using Forbes's "Burger King All-Americans" line.]

Bucketneers will be scouted, and the next one will not be easy - to say the least. But Hugley knows that, of course. Armored Athletic is a "program", a machine, and they know what they're doing. They not only have a head coach, but SIX (6) assistant coaches. Don't know how all that works, but I think we can believe they mean bizness. Despite winning by 27, Auburn scored more paint points. We may not win tomorrow unless we can do more inside, and keep their proficient, practiced bigs off balance. There will be more fouls called.
