This should be a great game. Two Texas schools. Two former conference mates, one happily ensconced in the Big 12, the other in the AAC and with a big chip on its shoulder against the P5 generally, the Big 12 more specifically, and Texas Big 12 schools most of all.

Call me silly, but I like Houston in this one. In fact, I like Houston to win the title. Partially because I like their defense. Yes, I know Baylor has the defensive POY, but I like Houston's team athleticism on defense.

Mostly though, I just think it's Houston's year. IMO a big bruising B1G team like Michigan or Illinois would have overwhelmed them, and it's telling that the one game they were lucky to win was against a B1G team, Rutgers. But there are no B1G teams left. And I like Houston's quickness vs anyone in the field.

Houston ......... 71

Baylor ............ 63
I had Houston beating Baylor in my bracket, though losing to Michigan in the title game.
Makes me sick that RU had a beeline to Indy had they held on against Houston in Rd of 32. Would have easily beaten Cuse and OSU. Maybe in another 30 years we will make a similar run.
houston has always beaten up on baylor teams, nothing new here...

Welcome to back to March Madness! We had a similar type of 2nd round game against Michigan back in 2017 and they ended up marching all the way to the finals that year. That's why the best motto to have in the tourney is just survive and advance.
Houston all day!!! Can the AAC win the NCAA and NIT??? Don't know but my money is on Houston. 04-bow02-13-banana
Hi intensity game so far.
Baylor pulling away. This is "danger time" for Houston. The Cougars can't go into the half down 15.
Go Coogs. But Baylor is really good. They're showing it right now.
Only thing positive I can say about that half is that its over lol
Man, when Baylor is on, they are ON. 45-20 at the break.

No wonder Baylor is kicking it. They got "Spider"
Well OK maybe Houston isn't going to win.

Baylor 45 - 20 @ Half. Sigh.

It was a nice thought though.

04-cheers
It was happs when they played low seeds. Being tested by 12 seeds isn’t the same as others that play higher seeds through the tournament
Yeah, this stinks.
It’s Houston’s region’s fault for not adequately testing them.
