6-8, 230 combo guard Nikola Djogo from Notre Dame as a grad transfer...

I am excited to announce that I will forego any professional opportunities and finish my college career in Boston under @GoNUCoachCoen at Northeastern University! Looking forward to being a part of the Huskies!

Another Canadian! I'll take all the Notre Dame transfers we can get.

Stats for this year we're twenty minutes per game......539 from two.....409 from three..... .875 free throw and he was a Captain this year. All good stats especially considering the level of competition.
Just watched the ND/Wake SEC tourney opening game because Nickoli played a lot of minutes in that game...... and the first half of the season finale upset of eleventh ranked FSU. He started both games. I am surprised he's listed as a guard. He's comfortable handling the ball but he was never involved bringing the ball upcourt and on D he guarded bigs in their 100% man on man defense.
He runs the floor pretty well and is unselfish to a fault. He didn't take one forced shot.
Not a strong rebounder and on offense I thought I was looking at Stucke's game...setting himself up for threes and waiting for passes that never came. In the game and a half he took six threes and made four of them. The only two's I remember were a backdoor dunk and a fast break dunk.
He's not flashy but steady as heck...doesn't make mistakes. Solid defender against SEC guys. He should help calm a young team and his numbers should go up against mid major talent and on a team that shares the ball like we do.
Watch the start of the FSU game if you can. It was fun watching him get eight of the team's first thirteen points. I wish we had him for more than one year.

ND is in the ACC, not the SEC. 05-nono

I planned on watching ND in the ACC tournament, but yeah he'll provide steady leadership along with 3-point shooting and length.

Another nice addition...
Carter decides tomorrow.

Sorry, Carter who?
He's a PG from Murray State in the transfer portal. Of the interested schools UAB looks like our only clear competition for us but their new head coach is bringing in a lot of talent in the back court. You never know what other factors play into a recruits decision, though.

Go to Verbal Commits and click on Northastern then click on depth.
Verbal Commits says he's returning to Murray Stare? I think he committed to South Carolina.

We were in the running until SC offered today. Speaking of SC is Frank going to be fired or not?

Apparently, he's not.

The Carter kid is from Columbia, SC, so I really don't know how seriously he considered NU anyway.
Plus, we were pretty late to the party. We didn't offer until three days ago. I do think that., looking at our current roster, we would be a terrific destination for a quality PG.
