I don't think so. Defense is more about effort, and ability to learn from coaches and read the floor, not so much about physical ability and talent.

The fact that Penny got this bunch to play such great defense tells me he can do it with others, as well.

And get another slow start next year because of having to start all over... And miss the tourny again because of it.

I get the feeling Baugh still has big dreams from getting pumped up as a pro prospect. He's looking bigger than mid-major.

Oh, I agree. The whole thing is ridiculous. But at least with Tahj, there are other receivers that have already gotten PT within the O scheme. Basketball is different than football. BOTH require working together for many hours with your teammates to develop chemistry, But basketball requires MORE of it than football. Football has set plays. Basketball is too much based on split-second decisions on the court, and making sure your teammates are on the same page. Offense and Defense.

A bit odd that Baugh or Boogie are not waiting for team meetings with Penny scheduled for tomorrow. Maybe Penny went ahead and met with them today.

Oh, don't worry about the tourney next year. If we are good enough to be selected, the NCAA will put us on probation because of the Wiseman situation. That's why they are dragging their feet on their results. They are just waiting for us to be eligible, then they are going to lower the boom. Meanwhile Kansas, LSU, Auburn, et al, are still being investigated because they haven't found any evidence of foul play. The FBI tapes are simply heresay.

Baugh with a consistent perimeter shot is NBA level with his defense & length. It's a shame to lose him. But if he isn't being developed here, he should transfer. Maybe he'll get that perimeter game going somewhere.

I believe he is a defensive coach, and that he will get players that will want to play some defense in here. I have to say this bunch did it, didn’t they? The improvement in this team was to me absolutely stunning.

I believe he is a defensive coach, and that he will get players that will want to play some defense in here. I have to say this bunch did it, didn’t they? The improvement in this team was to me absolutely stunning.

Unfortunately it took 2 yrs with this team, now transferring.

I couldn’t overlook your part that the NCAA is out to get us. They may back off now, because he left. It wasn’t really that bad of a thing in my case. I know that he played in a game or two, but I do agree that he should’ve just sit out of those games, and then focused on the rest of them. We will see how the NCAA plays this out though.

Baugh's high game this year was 10 points and he did that one time this year. I like Baugh and he played really hard but it was hard to have him and ALo in the rotation going forward because the offense suffers. I hope he finds a good fit somewhere.
