I'm not confident we will win this game but I'm confident we can compete and have a chance at the end. Their defense will give up some chunk plays and looked pretty vulnerable on the back end last week. If we hold them to 17, I like our chances. If it's a track meet, I'm not sure we can keep up.

Most definitely. I don't think that means ETSU can't win, though. VMI still had to drive on Wofford for the win with 35 seconds left and needed OT to beat Samford. They're good, but I don't think they're
that good.

Covid protocols may be an issue. A team with less stringent rules could be detrimental.
If we finish at 5-1, I think we should just take our chances on receiving a bid.

I think it would but let us just get ready to go to Mercer and get another tough win. I would love it if we get a win next week and then get a nice national ranking for the selection committee to give us a spot even if we cannot win the regular season this Spring. Go Bucs!
According to the playoff committee, VMI was #8. This will get us in the top 25 and hopefully position us for an at large if we can take care of business. Just win!

Any win, is a good one. The offense still sputtered but managed to get 24 points, barely above their average. The D got off to a slow start but settled in and snuffed out the VMI league leading offense.
Bucs passing game..11-27..145 yd..poor..bad throws..missed on several wide open big plays
Bucs rushing game..42.......127 yd..good considering trying to run against 9 in the box.
There were several series that VMI had 11 within 3 yds of line of scrimmage daring the Bucs to pass. Bucs still ran. Sanders commented on that. "Yeah they had their safeties almost against their linebackers, just daring us to throw the ball". paraphase - We still got a long way to go on offense. I told Holmes in the early week game preparation, just get me 3 yds a carry. We need to stay ahead of the chains. Exactly what the running game accomplished.
I sure wish Bucs could put at least a good offense on the field to go along with their very good defense. Bucs would be best team in league, hands down.
