In fact I have been told that had he met him before then the odds of him showing up were slim to none. Bragga is not a strong sell to a kid, zero resume and a complete and utter lack of understanding the local game/recruiting. Comparing him to Wayne, which is an insult to the OG himself, is laughable. Wayne didn’t need to dog and pony show recruits - he and the program were an established product. I assure you, if you were a guy he thought he should meet with he met with you.

With regards to Bragga, I have said it before and will say it again - the guy is nice and by all accounts a good man. That being said this is a failed experiment. He shouldn’t be even in the discussion with a legend like Wayne. The only reason is he is he somehow hit jackpot and was his successor by some bizarre miracle and circumstance.

Instead of taking things personally because you’re so involved perhaps you should look at this as someone less attached. This is a failed hire.

This is spot on.

One of the recruits that Bragga nixed without ever seeing them play, told me that even though he never met personally with the OG, he didn't feel he needed to. He felt that the opportunity to play for a living legend like Coach Graham was plenty of an attraction.

What happened to Jackson Kiddy? Doesn't look like he's playing anywhere right now.

He's playing at Wharton JC. Pitching very well.

Ah I see now.

Looks like his HS teammate who was on the Rice roster last year also ended up there.
